UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

Wouldn't be surprised if one or both gets pushed to 2020. I heard that the other parts didn't sell well (?) and it just doesn't seem like a priority for them at the moment when they are focusing on getting the Gundam stuff out. Which to be honest is fine, true I have a half-empty box sitting...

Mobile Suit Gundam 00: Part 1 Review

While Mobile Suit Gundam 00's deep political intrigue, wooden dialogue and reflection of real world problems may make this harder to get into at first, it does offer some great mobile suit action. Continue reading...

    Fate/Apocrypha - Part 2 Review

Fate/Apocrypha’s second half does well to bring its story to a conclusion, pitching in with some fantastic fight sequences and art direction, all the while showing some good character development along the way. Continue reading...

    Fate/Apocrypha - Part 1 Review

The first half of Fate/Apocrypha sets itself up as an exciting and tense action series, while also focusing on its deep and satisfying character relationships. With no ties to previous entries in the Fate universe, this also makes it a great place to start for newcomers. Continue reading...

    SLA Edinburgh 2019 Line-up

Thanks for the response Andrew! That sounds good, didn't realise the above wasn't the full schedule. Re: Code Geass - Yeah, fully understand. Definitely would have been nice to have parts 2 & 3 from the AL side, but at least we have something. Re: Hi-Evo 2 - Yeah, while I hated Hi-Evo 1; this...

    SLA Edinburgh 2019 Line-up

Outside of the big hitters, it's an odd lineup. Promare on the Monday makes literally no sense. The Code Geass sequel makes no sense either as the vast majority will not have seen recap films 2 and 3. A live action film also seems an odd choice. I thought Hi-Evo 2 might have been forgotten...

    Kokkoku: Moment by Moment Review

Kokkoku: Moment by Moment throws in a lot of interesting ideas around the consequences of stopping time, life and death amidst a cat-and-mouse game plot that sees one woman try to rescue her family from a crazed religious cult. However, it fails to execute on its potential as it struggles with...

Dai Shogun - Great Revolution Review

While Dai Shogun's backstory speaks of some potential, it ends up going nowhere with its harem plot, with fanservice that is played too straight to be funny, while its animation leaves a lot to be desired. Continue reading...

Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card – Part 2 Review

The second part of Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card combines the core elements of the franchise with a darker and more mysterious tone that gives it its own unique feel. It's truly a deserving successor to a much-loved legacy and I can’t wait to see where CLAMP takes it next. Continue reading...

Welcome to the Ballroom: Part 1 Review

Welcome to the Ballroom applies the sports anime formula to competitive ballroom dancing with great success, filling the screen with beautiful dance work and character drama. Despite Anime Limited's release being very bare-bones, this is show anyone can have a lot of fun with. Continue reading...

UK Anime Distributor Crunchyroll/Funimation/Manga UK Discussion Thread

Funimation have acquired Manga Entertainment UK. https://www.funimation.com/blog/2019/05/29/funimation-acquires-uk-anime-distributor-manga-entertainment-limited/ Considering all the goings on over the past 6 months this actually makes a lot of sense. Guess they are finally getting serious...

    Dragon Ball Super: Broly Review

Dragon Ball Super: Broly is a thrilling action film, pitting Goku and Vegata against the hulking Broly with some great animation work and a solid backstory that eases in newcomers to the franchise. For all its outrageous action that fans will love, those coming into this fresh will find the...

Nice load of licenses. I'll probably end up picking most of those up.

UK Anime Distributor Anime Limited Discussion Thread

I didn't really enjoy IBO so I don't particularly care for owning it. I'd rather them get through all the UC stuff tbh.

    Girls' Last Tour Review

Girls’ Last Tour is a very relaxing survival story that generates a lot of appeal from its comfy styling and deceptively cute presentation. Its slow pace and slice-of-life sensibilities may seem boring to some, but if you look past that, the series shows an engaging deeper narrative with a...
