Re: [UK Anime Distributor] Universal Pictures Discussion Thr
During the simulcast I had always assumed Asuramaru to be female, but they were subbed as being male on the UK BDs..
Re: [Overseas] US & AU Region B|2 Compatible Blu-ray and DVD
Dennou Coil (or Den-noh Coil if you must) plays on both my UK PS4 and a Region B player with no problems, despite it saying Region A on the back and dire warnings about only being intended for play in the US and Canada.
Re: Anime Schedule Update
Three Funimation date changes:
Gonna be the Twin-Tail!! to July 25th (2 weeks)
Fairy Tail Part 10 to 2016-08-15 (3 weeks)
Yona of the Dawn Part 1 to 2016-07-25 (2 weeks)
The Kindle sample for the first volume was so bad (IIRC apart from just bad translation/writing there were lines missing and IIRC a line that was in entirely the wrong place) I was put off buying it, especially at over the going rate for light novels on Kindle (first volumes in particular).
I didn't even know we had that (or just forgot, seeing as how I've seen at most one episode of the first series)
Do you have the URL? I can't find it either on the Netflix site or https://uk.newonnetflix.info/
I wonder if the former is related to Manga re-releasing Death Note on BD? It still...
Considering Viz and Kaze are part of the same company and it was solicited as dual-audio, I don't think that's it.
I was focusing on the most recent new licenses from Kaze - for those purposes I considered Nisekoi an ongoing title along with Bleach and Mirai Nikki.
I'm not Andrew, but Yona is a Funimation one and it is already out in the US so I don't foresee any delays (although since none of the Funimation label titles have come out yet, they are still a little of an unknown quantity).
Empire of Corpses is almost certainly using the French packaging...
It's not like they're exactly talkative, but it's been a while since any new titles came from Kaze, and the Death Note BDs is even coming out under Manga.
So... the latest title I think was One Punch Man, about which we've heard nothing since it was announced in October.
Other than that...
Re: [UK Anime Distributor] Anime Limited Discussion Thread
Back when Rob was at Crunchyroll he was clear on the fact that the UK alone couldn't sustain a license for them (and he was very supportive of the UK in general) so the US had to be included in anything they licensed (so they couldn't...
Well in French Canal means Channel, and carries the same meaning as it does in English.
They do have a TV channel. I'm not sure that they have a studio however.
The show must be digitally animated and the theatrical screenings were probably digital too, so that would be a reproduction. I have a film strip for Brave Story that was included with the limited edition Japanese DVDs.
Re: [UK Anime Distributor] Manga Entertainment Discussion Th
With Jerome's talk about producing anime and with their logo being next to Genco and Mappa's on the promo image Andrew posted, I did wonder.
