For example, currently, from AL’s store, you can buy either the “Collectors” OR “Standard” parts of Gundam SEED (SRP59.99) for £41.99 each.
Gundam Build is SRP69.99 so will definitely be more than £41.99 after the early bird. You can buy the US Gundam Build Fighters from UP1 at a non-sale...
It’s not unfair when the model for AL’s Gundam releases is that of a first print bonus rather than a collector’s edition. The standard edition down the line will feature the same split with the same SRP.
Cheaper to buy the whole season from the US than the first half of the UK release at non-early bird price. I understand price increases, but this is an absolute pisstake.
Tickets for The First Slam Dunk are live. I’ve booked IMAX on Tuesday 29th August for now, but will probably book a Dolby Cinema screening for Wednesday 30th closer to the time.
The constant delays alongside the new pricing has pushed most AL titles just out of impulse purchase price range and into wait for xmas sale price range for me. It feels great not being tempted to buy an AL early bird every week anymore.
At least they’ll be able to pull a classic Manga UK move and cite the non-existent sales of this self-sabotaged release as a reason to not release more going forward.
