5 Centimeters Per Second I'll admit I've been quite dismissive of Makoto Shinkai's work in the past (I think because of all the hype that surrounded him years ago) and while I don't think his films are perfect the more I see of them the more I am beginning to really appreciate his craft...

All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku (OAV) - Episodes 1 - 6 [Final] This was very entertaining and frequently made me laugh out loud. Project A-Ko Lewis and I guested on another podcast to talk about this, so watched it again so the film was fresh in my memory ahead of the review. I first...

Ninja Robot Tobikage - Episodes 34 - 41 This is essentially the end of the series as the final two episodes are recap episodes told from Hazard's perspective. I've enjoyed Tobikage a lot more this time round, I find it still has some of the same pacing issues as I did first time round and it...

Bang Brave Bang Bravern - Episode 2 Whoever was writing the subtitles for this episode must have been in hysterics while they were doing it especially while Bravern was describing how he felt while Isami was 'entering' him to the military officials 😂. It was good fun but I agree with the ANN...

Laputa - Castle in the Sky I wanted to watch this again after seeing The Boy and The Heron a few days earlier. It's still probably my favourite Miyazaki film, I think it's a fantastic adventure romp with excellent characters and action and perfectly paced to boot. I also love the way it looks...

The Boy and the Heron I really enjoyed The Boy and the Heron, I thought it was classic Miyazaki, vibrant, colourful and enchanting and wonderfully complex at the same time. Ninja Robot Tobikage - Episodes 2 - 6 Bullbuster - Episodes 1 - 6 Quite an interesting premise but feels a bit slow. Godzilla Minus One I quite enjoyed this Godzilla film, plays a bit lose with history and a bit uneven in the first half but the third act was fantastic.

Crusher Joe - Ultimate Weapon Ash I often feel that Ultimate Weapon Ash is the poor relation of the Crusher Joe anime and while even I would say it isn't quite as good as The Ice Prison (which I absolutely love) I still think its a really enjoyable OVA, yes, the story is quite simplistic but it...
