My Rune Soldier slimpack arrived this morning; I only got as far as volume 2 with rentals so I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the series.

I must also concur with this, my brain was also scarred from the Samurai Gun trailer, whilst Yugo and Area 88 look little better. And with Gatchaman holding little interest for me, that leaves only Gilgamesh, not a series that's a priority to collect for me, but one I'd probably rent.

I actually really enjoyed the first episode, the opening scene certainly grabbed my attention and from then on I was hooked- admittedly the story didn't advance all that far but that's to be expected for the first episode of a 52 episode series. I'm definitely looking forward to the next episode.

Maybe you just need to try it on a different media player, I found Tsubasa was very pixellated on Winamp but it play fine on VLC media player (download the player from www.videolan.org).

Although Osaka is far from my favourite Azumanga character, she is at least funny (and thus gets my vote)- unlike Hitomi, who is just plain annoying.

I think the Japanese release of Prince of Darkness had a book or something that detailed what happened in the three years between the series and movie, haven't come across it in any form myself though. And as far as I know, there's nothing official that comes after the movie.

After playing a bit of Kingdom Hearts I've gone back to Breath of Fire 3, a game I started and then put aside around three and half years ago. It's not a bad game, even if it does feel like a poor man's Chrono Trigger, even down to the music.
