My Texhnolyze vol 1 (the 'original' R2 release) didn't have that problem- have you tried the disc in another player, I've had discs where the menu won't display properly on one player but it will on another for some unknown reason.

I remember seeing a trailer for this ages ago and thinking it might be worth looking into, only to duly forget about it. Sounds like it's worth at least sticking on the rental list, though.

The Vampire Princess Miyu one has the volume 4 packaging, but the disc itself actually contains volume 1- all the non-movie/OVA discs are volume 1 of their respective series. And the first boxset at least is PAL Region 0.

Just to point out a quick correction (before I forget :) )- the series was released by Bandai, not ADV.

Got my copy of the first boxset yesterday, as has already been said the packaging is 'workmanlike' at best but the titles in that set are ones that I just wanted to sample rather than have the gold plated versions of ;) . Don't think I'll bother with the second set, it's a nice spread of titles...
