I'm in the 2nd set of pre-orders so I won't get mine until next year but I'm already scratching my head about what to do. I hope they address it soon. It's extremely disheartening to hear there are also issues with the Zavvi sets as well. This must be a nightmare for Andrew and the staff of AL...
I'm guessing AL weren't expecting these to be put together this shoddily by the manufacturers. After all it's a premium collector's set and I think @anime_andrew is going to be as dissappointed as we are about it. Will be interesting to see what happens with this though as I'd wager there's...
I'm quite a big steelbook collector and honestly I think I've only ever received a single steelbook with damage and I own quite a few, maybe I've been lucky. The only defects I've had are printing errors where the spine hasn't come out right and I've exchanged those. Mind you with the way Royal...
@Wicker Good luck with Gunsmith Cats Burst. Hope you don't end up paying silly money snagging it. I was lucky enough to find all but one volume of it before the scalping began. Ended up paying a bit more but not an unreasonable amount.
Real Action Heroes is a great line but sadly I don't have much space for 1/6 scale stuff. Wow! 400 figures! That's quite the collection. Do you rotate stuff and box stuff up reguarly? Where do you store your boxes?
I have my Real action heroes Tetsuo Shima on display in a cabinet, have my other...
Today I received another parcel from Amazon Japan. The Garo movie "Gekkitou No Tabibito" (Moonbow Traveller/Under the Moonbow) absolutely love the Garo franchise and pretty much anything Keita Amemiya works on. This is the only Japanese Garo blu ray I know of that has English subtitles.
Does...
@Neil.T I also just reaalised I didn't fully answer your question the other day, you asked about the 2 background sets and I only answered about one of them, the dojo one was from the Instaprint diorama guy. The other is actually a printed screenshot from my Blu ray of the Fist of the north star...
Thanks Neil! I really appreciate the fedback.
That's really nice of you to say, means a lot considering I just started. I had really only taken very basic photos previously (like the ones in that model kit thread I posted ages ago of my Votoms Kits). I've been getting really interested in it...
So recently I tried a new kind of review on my blog: action figure reviews which meant I've been researching action figure photography and having to learn an entirely new skill. I've photographed figures and model kits before but I've never really tried to pose them properly to shoot dynamic...
@RadFemHedonist and @Geriatric hedgehog
Thanks! It's been delayed a few times due to Covid (along with our planned honeymoon to Japan) originally it would have been Oct 3rd 2020 (anniversary of the day we met) then it got changed to this year (next month originally) however problems with our...
Even though I can't read any Japanese I might pick this issue up for the poster alone. Apparently it features a collage of iconic panels from the manga, that would look fantastic in a frame.
Got a really cool unexpected gift today. A buddy of mine visited me and brought me an early wedding present. No More Heroes & No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle collectors editions for Switch from Limited Run Games. This set has a ton of nice stuff. Magnetic boxes that connect with each other...
Kaiju No 8
This series has a great concept and is genuinely funny in places. It also has fantastic monster designs, Kafka's monster form (the titular Kaiju No 8 is particularly inspired) and good characters. Quite intrigued to see where it's going. Been reading on the Shonen Jump app but I think...
Thanks man. I've made a lot of import orders to Japanese stores like Mandarake, hobbylink etc but I've rarely bought anything from auction sites outside of ebay. Will investigate these when I finish work tonight.
It was the One Piece replica sheet (the one with the manga panel of crying luffy) that I was after. did you get that from Jauce as well?
Appreciate the info @Jay2021
I must admit though I do also like that image with Zoro and Luffy you linked to. 🤔
For @Gemsy-chan Couldn't get a screenshot from my software which showed the subs so I went old school and just took a photo of my TV. I watched a few scenes and didn't see any bad spelling grammar or other errors. It all looked pretty well written from what I've seen. Of course the special...
I'll try and share a screenshot when I get the chance @Gemsy-chan The post showed the menu for subs but I don't think it showed an example of translation. I only own a handful of JP releases with English subs however they've all had good grammar and good wording so far. Hopefully this is the same.
