Found a review of it:

Average review only, and quite critical of some aspects. Perhaps this is a title that will improve, but the reviewer was quite critical of the fight staging, and found it difficult to connect with or empathise with the...
Anyone read this? First volume is out now. I hadn't heard anything about this before.
But I like Kei Toume's work: Lament of the Lamb, and I am well curious about this.
Description: (taken from United Publications)
Avenging his father's murder was a matter of honor for the young samurai...
Depends on the country, but AFAIK minors (i.e. under-17s) can do part time work in a limited capacity. Total weekly hours are restricted, the number of hours you can work in an evening is restricted, and you can't work beyond a certain time at night. I also believe there is special restrictions...
Have to admit I loved the intro to Civilisation 4. Not so much the battle sequence as the view of the earth from space as cities develop and the night side is lit up. The music suits it perfect - I spent 5 mintues just listenting to it play before I got stuck in.
And as I said, theres no luck involved. Being employed with a decent enough job to afford anime/manga as a hobby, basically involves work and applying yourself. Luck wouldn't have got me the job I have or had, only education and relevant experience. Luck is not a component in my salary, which...
I dont think luck has anything to do with it. I suspect Akaihane got his collection the same way any big manga fan did: saving it up and buying it.
Must sort out my own stuff sometime (shelves needs a cleanup anyway) and list it here.
Its mostly suggestive. That said you get to see some of the characters with their boobs out on occasion. The usual bath house stuff etc. The teacher character is frighteningly out of control too.
All of the DVD volumes are classified 15 with no cuts.
12 episodes for the first season, 14 episodes for the second season (somethign more beautiful) and a throwaway OVA.
It should be noted that Mahoromatic was originally licensed by Pioneer/Geneon for north america/Australia, ADV picked it up from them for here.
Its a shame we didn't get the rest...
Its not a revisionist show. The history of the war is well depicted and factually correct. It does adopt a contemporary view, in that it is critical of the naive imperial japanese expansion and its shortsightedness. Personalities of the time which can now be seen in hindsight as being great...
And how did that add to the discussion? What was the discussion even about? Do you remember? I have no problem with graphical content being added to forums where it is in context. Like adding in graphics of characters or screen caps into threads about:
-Favourite characters
-Favourite anime...
They both came form independent manga works. Neither are original anime productions. The manga for Saikano dates from 2000 and the manga for gunslinger girl dates from 2002.
Having watched both and read GSG, I can say that the two share very little, besides having a sci-fi/cybernetic theme...
Well theres the controversy aspect of it, and I remember the whole racism threads on the animesuki forum (forwarded by a huge amount of posters who based their comments on the JASCII blog).
But unlike Silent Service, the authors previous work where a lot of those comments can be credibly...
You cannot properly control the size limits of any externally hosted file unless you are downloading and physically processing that file. It doesn't matter what mods are available, externally hosted files have to be downloaded and processed. Which can be wasteful on server resources and...
The graphics are hosted externally, so nothing can be done to control their sizes. This is the same with the avatars.
As one of the people most annoyed with sig graphics & 500K avatars, I like to read forums. Vanity signatures with massive blocks of redundant graphics accompanied by a one...
Geneon are certainly the biggest risk taker when it comes to licenses nowadays. Strawberry Marshmallow, Kamichu! and now Zipang
Zipang is a superb series. One of the most strongly themed and powerful shows I have ever seen. I am genuinely curious as to how it will do in the US. Theres no...
Really the hook is in volume 3. Up until that point, it feels like a light hearted shoujo series that wears some boys action themes like a coat.
I remember being deeply impressed by the third book.
Well, yes. I own and have the first 6 volumes - vol.7 is finally planned for July release.
Synopsis: http://www.tokyopop.com/dbpage.php?prop ... troduction
Its a very good series. The first 2 volumes are fairly simple and lighthearted. The action is very clean and easy to follow (unusually...
I am not entirely sure what ADV are doing lately. My guess is that they are only licensing/releasing guaranteed successes. Its also likely that they are unwilling to play the bidding game any more, which would explain them losing TSR to FUNi. Most people would have considered FMP! to be a...
