They haven't half got those Gundam Seed DVD's out quickly this year. Another 2 double releases and it'll be complete. If only the same would happen for, say, Full Metal Alchemist and its 13 volumes.

Looks a bit uninteresting to me. A sort of CG'ed F-Zero with mechs, battling it out while racing.

Apparently it takes some time to get into its stride. The first volume isn't supposed to be brilliant. I'm waiting for a few more volumes to be released till I invest in it.

SCI-FI were actually one of the big reasons why I got into anime, I saw all of the above mentioned series on there, and its a shame they pulled out of showing anime a few months ago (or was it last year?). I'm the opposite of whats felt towards the graveyard slot, its perfect for me setting...

I'd also want to know whether this movie would be a conclusion to animated Trigun, or a prequel of sorts to a new series, since the manga still hasn't finished.

To pass a really definitive judgement on both series I think you'd have to be up to date with them, right to the latest episode. Of course if you lose interest, you dont have to continue watching either show, but due to the length, anything thats at least 50/50+ episodes can change a great...

Of course its never going to be as good as Excel Saga, its only a 2 episode spin off. And yes, the commentary is just as funny as the anime, the ADV staff are hilarious bunch.

Go for Trigun mate, its really good. I make no secret of the fact that its my favourite anime series ever.

It looks pretty good (Noein), the hand drawn style is really eye catching. It has a slight Tim Burton-esque creepiness to it (namely sleepy hollow/NBC etc), especially with that cloaked, white haired guy, and the dramatic score.

I remember watching the first half-hour of this on a plane, it was cracking stuff, unfortunately I was too tired and decided to sleep, and eventually watch it on dvd, and enjoy the experience more, rather than on a crappy min-screen a 10,000m above the earth with crappy headphone sound. I'll...

Like Excel Saga, its spin-off OAV Puni Puni Poemy certainly contains overblown scenes and fit-inducing visuals.

The Excel Saga dub is brilliantly done by ADV, very funny and well chosen voices. Other good dubs are: Stand Alone Complex Bebop Trigun Gasaraki and more that I can't think of right bow.

Good stuff, if a bit inconsistent. It can be good and bad in equal measure, but the good stuff is usually very good. I haven't got round to finishing watching it, still on ep 18, despite owning it since last year.

I was surprised at the ending, but only after I had realised what happened after watching the movie. I didn't think Spike had died, as I always thought the movie was set after the series. But I soon found out.
