    Manga UK £2 VHS sale

Not exactly great news for me, i was hoping to offload my EOE VHS onto ebay for a higher price than that, and eventually replace it with a dvd version. Pretty much worthless now, the postage probably costs more than the actua tape.

    Funimation confront fansubbing

While there are some good points being raised in this thread, and obvious arguments for the advantages of fansubbing, I think we're becoming in danger of expecting too much, and getting too cosy. First off, it isn't our right to have fansubs in the first place, they're technically illegal...

    Dubbing

I prefer dubs but tbh I like both, and it can depend on the series, or the acting on either side.

    Excel Saga

For me its the funniest anime ever made. If you look at the randomation a different way, its actually a series full of variety, new ideas as well as spoofs, imagination and invention. even though its episodic, there's some decent characterisation. You can actually see the huge amount of work...

    Interview with Tiffany Grant

Nice interview, I liked the question on how has dubbing/being a dub actor changed sine it started. I'm a fan of Tiffany Grant. I liked her roles in EVA, Matsuya and Pedro's son in Excel Saga, and Ryoko in Nadesico.

I saw either the first, second or both Patlabor movies (i didn't really know what I was watching, apart form the name patlabor) on the SCI-FI channel when they were still showing anime. AMV.org hit with legal problems

On the other hand it could have been seen as a positive for these artists and record labels. Hearing samples of their music may encourage would be fans to want more of it, or buy more of it?

    Wolf's Rain (on Rapture) discussion

I can't say I'm entirely convinced, but the first episode was a good start, and it looks to be a (great) emotional and dramatic series.

    Anime eligible for Oscars

If something as lifeless and generic as Shark Tale last year can get into the final list, on presumably the strength of its celebrity voice talent, it's unlikely Howl and Steamboy will get in.

    Impending launch of Rapture TV

Was the FMA trailer the one with the "gravelly-voice-over-man" going 'but they're not aloonnnne...'? You know, the one with the sombre intro that then kicks into big actions scenes?
