When you say ended it, do you mean they categorically ended it, and it would be impossible for them to make more episodes ended it? Or is there more Gantz anime in production? Its a shame, beacuse this series has the potential to keep going.

One of the first anime movies I saw: its gripping stuff, inteligently made, at times twisted and harrowing. I agree, its definitley a film to show skeptics that anime can be mature and grown up.

The show does sound interesting though, regardless of the voice talent. When you say for Toonami, does that include the U.K Toonami as well? I ask beacuse we happened to get One Piece on Toonami before the U.S, although I wouldn't hold my breath for the same thing happeneing on this one.

Apparently a lot of reviews say that the first 10-20 eps aren't up to much. Its supposed to get better and better. I only caught the last 10mins. I'm usually prefer dubs over subs, but the dub here sounded too cartoony and kiddy.

I too am a fan of both FLCL and Excel Saga. You've hit the nail on the head Paul, somehow you still manage to feel for the characters and situations, even if whats going on seems like crazy nonsense.

I may be speculating, but the idea of an FLCL TV series get s me stupidly excited.
