0083 is now back in stock, so I wanted to order, but this time another Gundam blu ray (first season, part 2) is sold out... I hope I get lucky within the next 48 hours...
Finally placing my Christmas orders and finally dipping into the Gundam series. Everything is in stock except for Gundam 0083. I hope they'll place it in backorder soon, so I can still use the BOGOF option before the sale finishes.
Is there a full list of 4K releases of All the Anime somewhere? If you filter them on their site, you don't get all the releases you'd expect. I'm curious if it's worth to wait for the 4K flash sale (whenever that one finally appears).
I was originally going to wait until the contents of the...
I'll probably wait with my order until more is known about the mystery boxes. Last year I waited as well and was happy that one of the boxes contained several movies and series I wanted but didn't own yet. The other box contained nothing interesting for me.
Aside from (maybe) buying one or both...
A Studio Ghibli movie with a 12 rating is pretty rare. The only other one is Grave of the Fireflies. Even Princess Mononoke only has a PG rating, even though it's pretty graphic at times (standards were quite different back in the 90s).
That's exactly the issue. If you go to Rightstuf and scroll through the page the button you need to press to get to dvds/blu rays is called "Home Video". I haven't tried ordering yet, but the fact Rightstuf calles them Home Video is a bad sign.
SuperS is by far the weakest series, only in the last +/-6 episodes there is some story development (and it ditches the episodic nature of the series). The rest is a whole bunch of nothing. The only real character development is seen with Usagi and Chibi-Usa (the entire series is focused on...
I've recently watched the entire Sailor Moon series. I watched all 200 episodes. I personally didn't mind the filler episodes, but I did skip the intro/outro, most of the transformation and attack sequences, since those got really repetitive after a while. I also speeded up the preview parts at...
Hear hear. I've also waited for March Comes in Like a Lion S2 until the US version was out of print.... So a few months ago I also decided to buy the second season of the US version of Sound Euphonium despite it being ridiculously expensive...
It would be really nice to have some decisive...
For those who live in the Netherlands (or plan to visit it): In the 'Melkweg' in Amsterdam they'll be showing Studio Ghibli's Only Yesterday on the 18th of November.
Only Yesterday (1991) | Melkweg Amsterdam
This is my favourite anime of all time and due to how niche it is, I never imagined it...
Initially I was planning to buy the first season during the Discotek sale in June (even though it wasn't discounted) but I forgot to add it to my basket...
During the Rightstuf sale last month I was hoping for a discount on the Kaguya series, but not only weren't there any discounts, but the first season is now OOP... Prices on eBay have gone up from $99 to well over $800...
I wonder if that series will ever get a European release, it should be...
It's because of this that I finally decided to buy a multiregion blu ray player earlier this year. Best decision I've made! The trigger to buy this player was Dear Brother, a series that has a very short license and was added to the Last Chance items on Rightstuf.
Unfortunately it was too late...
More vintage shoujo is always good! The comparison with Marmalade Boy and Rose of Versailles immidiately grabbed my attention.
I wonder if they're ever going to bother with Candy Candy (1976), especially when they suggest to get shoujo series sooner than later. But that one is probably too long...
