The free postage limit being £50 made these (and other sale items) a pain last time, not least because prices being £x.99 mean missing out by a penny, but also because applying the 10% discount could likewise wipe out most of the saving (certainly don’t use the 15% on anything other than a big...
Whenever I heard about something like this, I simply thought to myself: “Ha! Now they get to know what it’s like for us who have to pay an extra 20% on everything, even the second-hand incomplete free bonus items…”
But notable is that media isn’t exempt (for the UK) - just books. So you’re...
That was previously ‘last chance to buy’ at £15. So not quite last chance then…
The banner appears to have changed early to CCS (CE) (£59.99) flash sale.
Kinda good that this is another being offered at the same price as the previous sale (albeit wasn’t a flash sale last time).
I’ve yet to watch, as I was waiting for the third in the trilogy.
I did a banner-click of the ‘flash sale’, that opens a page with the four products (the three individual and the CE set).
And it specifically was ‘sold out’ for the first few minutes, so something got changed. Not that I think an extra £20 is a good price for a 68 page booklet. My expectations...
It may not solve the fundamental issue, but in this case adding a £3 manga clearance item (10% off means £2.69) would have been cheaper than the £3.50 shipping charge.
Otherwise I completely agree; it’s absurd to have to split an order, and the shipping threshold is pretty high.

I got the email about the (un)limited 10% being automated now, but there’s been no 15% code yet.
I’m assuming it’ll be a single-use again, although I guess they could just change the automated discount to 15% for the duration. But I’d still expect some notification...
Otomo the optimist, everyone!
To be fair, “incredible deals” isn’t completely misapplied at the Xmas sales.
To be equally fair, I expect “incredible” to be a little misapplied by them at other times.
Hmm. Sum total of extras are a poster and full coverage inlays?
If AtA did a similar UK release, I’d still prefer the current solid black box with thick books and digipaks - you may as well just get the standard amarays if the books don’t matter?
No. The postage limit is £30 now. :-(
I found this out with last weeks’ DOTW.
At least I now know it wasn’t just me taken by surprise there.
It’s a double hit: increase in the DOTW prices (apparently?), and effectively adding £2 to everything (because even the EBs are likely under £30)
And...
I’m not sure what to make of this from the description, and the current £17 price point is a big jump for blind buy of standard editions.
So I’m hoping Monday brings with it some CE/SE (or steelbook) early bird or re-offer to take off that £2 postage.
Would I have found £15 more palatable? I...
Are we getting the Frieren (pt2) LE over here in the UK or something?
I can’t say there are many ‘modern’ titles I’d be willing to pay silly money for, bar this.
The (UK) pt1 Blu doesn’t even include the DVDs like the US version. I probably shouldn’t complain seeing as they’re quite literally...
Eureka?
I’ll finally get to blow the dust off and watch that first movie (and the second) I’ve had sitting around for literally years, waiting for this.
