It's... so obvious that this Crunchyroll panel was made with an American audience in mind. It's too... peppy.
There has been some crossover between Aniplex USA and Funimation in North America though, like the Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl streaming and their Demon Slayer home ent...
Well, the assumption was that Manga UK would get Demon Slayer due to Aniplex being part of the Sony family, and Funimation having the Standard Definition releases in the US. So, how Aniplex licenses fit into that Sony conglomerate, is very interesting to slowly figure out...
A part of me interested in Witch Hunter Robin, but it's been so long that I can't remember if that show is any good or not.
But yes, a Sound of the Sky blu-ray would be incredible.
Really surprised to see Demon Slayer picked up - I was honestly expecting that to go to Manga UK. Neon Genesis Evangelion will also naturally be in my collection next year.
Biggest surprise for me though? Planetes. Watched it back on AnimeCentral years ago, and I've been interested in owning it...
Wakamin wasn't really Anime Limited's though was it? I think Anime Limited were just a partner for an attempted British expansion, three years after they started their first simulcast in France.
It will be on Twitter! Basically, everyone uses the hashtag #ScreenAnimeParty , so you can either follow the hashtag itself and see everyone talking about it, or just the people you follow on your feed - up to you.
The Penguin Highway watch-along will be fun. I remember at SLA, if we had time after a film, we'd meet up in the bar afterwards and dissect it. While we can't do that right now, we certainly can on Twitter :P.
I had the product page open in a tab all day, and I started refreshing from 5pm. Was fortunate enough to be one of the 80 - especially as I had to enter my card details manually!
It's nuts seeing how much the regular bundle and even solo Vol 1 CE are selling. Hopefully this means Standard...

Then watch it again upside down (which I plan to do. I'm serious).

I'm guessing a 1-disc digipack would look something like the Love Live! Sunshine! digipack, but with one side being clear artwork instead of having a disc tray? I wonder that would work practically - like, would one side have to be thicker to off-set the weight balance?
Speaking of digipacks...
