Lime Wood Media, who ship for AL as well as blu-ray boutiques Indicator, Radiance, and Second Sight, are using HS tariff code 8523.49 (or 8523.49.40) which is going through just fine without incurring any fees. Playasia and CDJapan are also using this code to ship games, which are also going...
I thought the first one was a compilation film but I could be wrong. The second did get a US blu-ray release, and the third is missing. But in this case S3 isn't released either, and S2 is only available via the OOP Ponycan sets. So it's more a matter of Crunchyroll not bothering with the show...
I hope, but Crunchyroll is terrible about that. They skipped Date A Live: Mayuri Judgment, which as I understand it, is an integral part of the overall story and goes between two of the show's seasons. I can understand skipping compilation movies but they seem to just hate any movie that is...
Not that it matters, but just in case you did not know, that's a New Zealand version, which is why it has a ratings sticker over the one printed on the insert, which I can see part of the rounded edge of peeking out on the right side. That one underneath is the Australian rating.
Who knows if Crunchyroll operates with this much logic in deciding what to release, but my assumption is that unfortunately their sales for Sound! Euphonium season 1 weren't up to whatever they felt was sufficient for them to release the following two seasons. If they never planned for the rest...
When they started doing them, that was the official reason for them is that the corners don't get bent. For the ones I have, the shrinkwrap tends to have bent those rounded corners over the curved edges of the blu-ray cases anyway, which I don't think is any less of an issue because it tends to...
I don't care for all the tat either. I also don't generally buy slipbox releases because for me the extra cost isn't justified, and in the case of Crunchyroll I don't generally feel the quality of the boxes is worth it but they can be nice, I have a few from AL and they're nicer in my opinion...
Crunchyroll having only those two Code Geass rereleases is the smallest slate of announcements I can think of from them.
Hope that's a one-time quirk rather than some hint of them just not releasing more and more of their titles on disc.
I just came back here to check this, as AL has changed the date on their listing to 19 January; I guess a mistake in assuming both the standard and LE were delayed.
AL has also listed the above January releases now.
While I can appreciate the work that went in to this, I really really dislike the art style, both the character art and everything else as well, and can't get past that aspect of it.
Interesting topic. :)
That style of trailer with random shows edited together with quick cuts and some unrelated music never did anything for me. Anime without its own audio tells me very little about what a show is actually like, and that ADV Films one above has so many quick cuts and...
Aniplex USA has put up an English subtitled version of the Needy Girl Overdose trailer and confirmed it for streaming in the west, I guess. Interesting that they're keeping the original name unlike the game.
Any 4K UHD that is region locked (and there are a few) violates the standards set forth by the UHD Alliance. Some explanation here from Scenarist, one of the companies that makes the authoring tools for UHD...
I will stick with AL for part 1 and Discotek's blu-ray for part 2 unless AL ever releases that one too. I don't like the other sequels enough to own them. I don't buy anything on UHD unless there is no other option, like remasters that only exist in that format. I only have 1080P displays and do...
The highlighted is my experience as well. There's a certain time period for blu-rays, many early Criterion US discs, that do this too. Because of the appearance I've seen it generally referred to as "bronzing." (Criterion will replace those discs still, as long as it is something that is still...
It's unlicensed of course but has to be inspired by that. Comparing directly now they changed the hair bows to "X" clips and put the bows in a different place and maybe made other changes. Instead of KAngel it says <something that ends in E> Angel on it.
