MCM Expo looked like a lot of fun. Why does the Machu cosplayer promoting Gundam need gloves to complete the costume though? couldn't they just....you know....use their real hands? :)
Interesting trivia about the origin of the name of the show. Thanks @zappi
Have never played these two but every other Shin Megami Tensei game I've played has been excellent. I hope we get more re-releases of the older ones like we did with SMT III Nocturne and the upcoming Devil Summoner remasters.
@HellCat and @Scavenger
Damn. I was hoping Anime Ltd would change their mind on that after seeing some of the feedback on here and elsewhere. Yeah I knew that typically it's not exactly easy to get in other territories as well but I can't help but be a little disappointed. Guess I might have to...
@Spark_Heal The original novel is available in English via the Vampire Hunter D omnibus Vol 1 from Dark Horse (contains 3 novels. The third one in that collection is the one bloodlust is based on). It seems to still be in print as the omnibus releases are still ongoing and places online still...
Just got Panzer World Galient on blu ray from sentai. A title I'm really pleased to own. Love Ryosuke Takahashi's mecha shows. I have a special attachment to this one because @Orgun and I reviewed it for the 2nd episide of Retro Mecha Podcast. When we reviewed it in 2018 it had only ever been...
Probably a long shot since some of these are very sought after out of print titles but might as well give it a try.
I'm after the following region A Blu ray releases.
Discotek:-
Cat's Eye: complete first season
Cat's Eye: complete second season
Dancouga: Super Beast Machine God
Urusei...
It's fine for me to import Region A as I've got a multi region player. Thanks for the heads up @sniper_samurai and @Magical Senshi
I take it the Funimation subs are decent overall then? No glaring issues anyone has noticed?
Currently re-reading Maison Ikkoku. Incredibly nostalgic considering I first lent it from a dear friend who isn't even with us anymore. That was just over twenty years ago. Picked up my own copies when Viz re-released it a few years back and hadn't gotten round to the whole thing. Decided it was...
So I guess the current season one releases out there (Including the recent steelbooks) must use the Funimation subs?
What's the consensus on them? Are they decent?
This is more of a query about potentially disappointing discs rather than pointing out flaws, but it's kind of on topic so here goes.
What's the subtitle quality like on the more recent releases of Attack On Titan?
I don't currently own any of the series on Blu but I remember the first release...
Thanks Herano.
Wow. Nice collection. I wish I had enough space in one room to line everything up in a row like that with my discs. I see a lot of Region 1 DVD sets I've not seen in a long time in those photos! Ah...the sweet tang of nostalgia.
I know this thread hasn't been posted in for a while, however I just wanted to say I've been viewing it this week and it's inspired me quite a bit. I've been meaning to sort my own collection out a little more and get it arranged nicely to the point where I feel proud enough to show it off here...
Hello everyone. It's been a while. As Sarah said it's kind of odd that this ended up on All 4 of all places. I mean Watanabe's such a well known director, he's about as mainstream as Anime creators get. I'd expect all the major platforms would have been looking to get their hands on it. Demelza...
I really wish it had been a regular CE as well. Sick of these giant irregular boxes. While it's annoying that they don't fit on the shelf it's far worse that the discs don't have a standard case. Really dislike the "discs in a book" method or worse yet the stupid spindle things like in the Eva...
Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth. As someone who has been a fan since the original PS2 Yakuza/Like A Dragon game I've loved every second of this. It feels like a love letter to the entire saga so far. It's probably a bit more accessible than your standard turn based JRPG to boot. Plus the amount...
Got my haul on Saturday. One slight disappointment though is that Sherlock Hound's slipcover is really badly printed. Might have to try for a replacement on that as I love that show. Wrote an article about it on the blog a few years back.
It was Fedex. I'm not sure it even told you with every shipping option who the courier was though when going via Stackry. Didn't think using anyone in particular would be an issue though because it didn't seem to be an issue with stackry before.
Grrrrr. An annoying follow up. I got a customs charge card through the door today despite using Stackry. Not sure what I did incorrectly but this is exactly what I was hoping to avoid. I've used them 4 times before and never been hit by any charges. £56.23! I'm pretty annoyed right now, I still...
This thread makes me realise just how long I've been waiting for my rightstuf order. It was held up for about 3 weeks while I waited for everything to come back into stock, then took over a week for rightstuf to actually send a shipping notice, then it had to be sent to stackry and since then...
