More vintage shoujo is always good! The comparison with Marmalade Boy and Rose of Versailles immidiately grabbed my attention.
I wonder if they're ever going to bother with Candy Candy (1976), especially when they suggest to get shoujo series sooner than later. But that one is probably too long...
I'm shocked seeing Only Yesterday on this list. It's my favourite anime of all time and really underrated. Surprised that A Silent Voice isn't on the list. Agree with the ones you mentioned, the list could have been even better.
I've been hunting for this series for a long time, but the final boxset (part 8) is very difficult to find. A few weeks ago I was finally able to get part 8 on eBay and I immediately bought all the other parts as well (which were conveniently all in one other auction). Parts 3, 6 and 7 are still...
I've been very lucky then! I bought it during last week's Discotek sale. I tried buying it in December, but back then it was the only item from the order that was out of stock and it stayed like that for a long time, so I decided to cancel that part of the order and wait until it was discounted...
Fantastic research! What really surprises me is that Stellvia is Region B compatible. The list of Region B compatible titles is very small (everything City Hunter related and a few others), but nobody has ever mentioned Stellvia.
Maybe you should post the Region B/100% Top menu trick ones in...
I've been waiting for a long time for a Discotek sale at Rightstuf. I did get GotAnime today, only to find out the discount doesn't stack (only just read the message above this one...). As there are also a bunch of anime from other publishers I want to buy I can still make use of the discount...
It's been mentioned several times in this thread before, but certain Discotek blu ray titles that are supposed to be region locked can be bypassed. One anime that I own that was mentioned was Aho Girl and I've been successful in bypassing the region locking on a PS3, PS4 and a PS5. I'm aware...
Discotek Media Region 2:
Cromartie High School
I've just finished the Litebox version of Genshiken 2. I was able to watch all episodes on all discs without issues, so this newer release is region 2 compatible, while the older one isn't. It's up to you if you want to re-add this specific version...
I have the more recent 'Litebox' version that is still being sold at Rightstuf (that's where I got it from). The entire series is released on 3 discs in a single DVD case. I'm currently watching it on my European PS5. All 3 discs work without any issues.
Maybe I should've been more specific in...
Media Blasters (Anime Works)
Region 2
Genshiken 2
---
There isn't a list of Media Blasters DVD releases yet so I expected this one to be region locked, but this one works!
I suspect the first season will also be region 2 compatible, but I don't own that one so I can't confirm that.
Sentai:
Seitokai Yakuindomo Complete Collection (Season 1 & 2 and first movie): at least Geolocked (works on PS4 & PS5. Can't confirm if it's Region B)
Sentai Bypass method PS5:
I've seen descriptions for the PS3 and PS4, but not for the PS5. It's very similar to the PS4 (difference in bold...
