I see it for around 9K on suruga-ya. Not bad, but I don't like Nijigasaki that much, especially season 2. I'm looking into buying Superstar before the end of the year though.
I'll probably get Nijigasaki. Was planning on switching over to the Japanese Love Live! BDs (already have 9th Anniversary Box + Sunshine movie), but Nijigasaki didn't do much for me.
Also have the US release, but I would double dip if they can release the home video version with the corrections. All international home video releases use the theatrical version, except for the Korean DVD and the recent Italian BD/DVD.
I'll be grabbing SEED Destiny. Hopefully it doesn't have technical issues like the Rightstuf's fixed SEED discs have.
I hope they announce 08th MS Team soon. The sooner they announce it, the sooner I can decide whether to import the English subbed Japanese U.C. Blu-ray Libraries release or...
For many people, including myself, Macross Plus was their introduction to the franchise. I don't recall if there were any spoilers to SDFM or DYRL, but it isn't necessary to have seen those.
SDFM and DYRL were not released on DVD in the UK. DYRL was released on poorly subtitled and poorly...
Excellent news. Very interesting to see the Netherlands being mentioned in the press release. The OVA was released here on DVD way back in 2002 by A-Film. If they are indeed releasing it here, I hope properly translated Dutch subs are produced instead of just re-using the A-Film DVD subs...
Very noticeable. The left channel of the Japanese track was I think about 6db lower than the right, so it sounds as if most of the sound comes from the right. I was able to adjust the volume of the left channel on my receiver, but not everybody has that kind of luxury.
Mixing issue aside, it's...
The back cover pictures on this ebay listing say 2 discs

The standard edition probably uses the Madman discs. Think this also happened with one of the SAO titles. Picture quality of the Madman release is in some way better than the CE, but also worse...
TMS has a history of preparing localized materials for overseas markets (e.g. Detective Conan scenes with local currency). It's possible that TMS (accidentally) provided a textless version of the opening titles that was intended for use in overseas markets with strict rules on tobacco.
The whole point of IOSS is to simplify the VAT payment/collection and declaration process. The buyer is not supposed to be confronted with additional fees for shipments that fall under the IOSS scheme because the seller is responsible for VAT collection and declaration. See: IOSS
But yeah...
IOSS applies to shipments with a value up to €150 which are exempt from duties (except for goods with excise duties such as tobacco). If you have to pay additional fees for IOSS shipments, then customs or seller screwed up.
