Region B Blu-ray of Golgo 13: The Professional coming soon from new France-based distributor Tanuko. Their Blu-rays will be single print run limited editions. According to a leaker the Blu-ray will include English/French/German/Spanish/Portuguese/Italian subtitles
They're not using Nozomi's BDs for Build Fighters. Could be interesting if they don't use the French authoring house.
Already got the Japanese release of Love Live! Superstar!! season 1 with English subs for a good price recently from Mandarake.
French standard edition of Your Name UHD is out on July 7. Scanavo full-sleeve case + O-ring.

Build Fighters will probably use Nozomi discs. The French release of SEED Destiny was authored locally. The French encodes are hit-or-miss, but so are Nozomi's.
Anime Limited France release of Gunbuster is scheduled for July. Rigid case with 48 page booklet and poster.

The glitch on Aho-Girl and a handful of other Discotek releases happened because the user-operations were not properly set on the region lock screen during authoring. The trick should work on most if not all Blu-ray players. The 2023 releases that I bought (GaoGaiGar, Kamen Rider Black, Treasure...
Not always.
Last week I received a replacement item with declared value set to £34.99. I don't mind paying the clearance fees, but it's kinda dumb to pay VAT twice for one item (an item that was cheaper than £34.99 because I bought it during sale). AL refused to refund the extra VAT. Complained...
They have tracking, at least for shipments to the UK, Netherlands and Germany (dunno about other countries). Deliveries to Netherlands usually takes 2 weeks. They seal the items in corrugated cardboard sheet mailers which is fine for standard editions, but not great for collector's editions...
I think you can get the Japanese Limited Edition release with English subtitles for like 600 yen on the second hand market nowadays. The picture quality on the Japanese release is nicer. Funimation's encode has a lot of artifacting.
Does the ADV UK DVD of Nadesico use NTSC encodes? I'm looking to replace disc 6 NTSC, but it's difficult to find the right copy because the US and UK volumes share the same UPC code for some stupid reason. I don't mind getting the UK release if it uses the NTSC encode.
EDIT: Never mind. I...
Does Violet Evergarden The Movie BD use the home video version or the theatrical version?
The French release has theatrical version on the BD and home video version on the UHD. There are some visual differences between the two versions. This one should not be hard to spot.
The new BD is a massive improvement Cyber City Oedo 808 - BD comparison | Slowpoke Pics
I'll patiently wait for the standard edition of Oedo. Already have the old edition and all I want to do is swap the disc.
It's not comparable to a director's cut or something. Director's cut is usually made way after the production has wrapped up, but in anime production often continues after the theatrical or broadcast masters are made. So what you see in theater or broadcast are sometimes unfinished versions that...
Hopefully they got the improved home video version of Liz and the Blue Bird and not the theatrical version like most international BD/DVD releases use. The home video version received its first Blu-ray release outside of Japan this year in Italy.
On some Discotek Media titles you can skip the region lock screen by pressing the Top Menu button (Own first three titles and checked them on PS3 and an LG player):
Lupin III Part I
Astro Boy
Fusé
Adventures of Sonic The Hedgehog
As Miss Beelzebub Likes It
Aho Girl
