Yeah the first one is great the second foused too much on world buliding and looking good and the plot suffered but it was still pretty cool and well worth reading once anyway. The First will not disapoint and you'll spot all the little bits that turned up in the various animes

Book stores only order in stuff from local suppliers whereas comic shops and such import stuff, by law importing the syuff for resale is not allowed because it breaches licencing laws thats why non-specialist retailers dont do it

Well its close to the movies at least cause the OVA's and TV series where just silly fun but like the second movie Gasaraki isnt a mecha show its a politcical story with mecha if you watch it for action you'll be bored stiff if you watch it for politcical intrgue you'll love it
