While I thought the plot itself was rather good in all, certainly different, it was far too often gratuitous just for the sake of being so.
Probably give it the same as you in all.
Petopeto-san 6.5/10
Haven't watched this in years (Think I got the fansub in like 2007 or something) Anyway, I love the premise ('monsters' live alongside us, but suffer discrimination, though most are completely harmless) and it is quite fun at the start. However it was a little too moe for...
I would agree with those who said the Go Negai stuff. (not that I am a fan of much of it) The adaptions of his manga basically drove Anime from 'kids stuff' into 'genre's for everyone' which is what of course most Anime fans would argue is the main reason they like it :)
Going back further...
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3DS
Still in my mind, even 12 years on, simply the best game that has ever been made. The remake here has (much to my surprise) even updated the graphics slightly (Mostly retexturing and a few more polygons on main characters) but Nintendo didn't break what...
Yep, watched it just about every Saturday from Summer 2000 to 2003 when they cancelled it (well they moved it to 5am then cancelled it). Got most of my formative Anime experiences from there (and a little with Fox Kids) including seeing my first full series when they showed Nadesico, Blue Gender...
Hyper Police 7/10
Been meaning to give this a rewatch for ages now. Basic premise - post apocalyptic japan where 'monsters' aka furries live far outnumbering humans and where a group of said monsters work as bounty hunters. Sounds reasonably action packed but mostly is comedy/drama with far...
I've seen the sequels and generally, and bluntly, they are not very good. Been a while but I think the first sequel wasn't too bad, but most of the rest really ain't worth it, and IIRC the last two films are reboots which makes it even worse.
I still live with my dad. I'm 27. True it is a 3 bedroom house, but then again me and my dad get on and since I value my free time too much to have a girlfriend, it works fine.
Stay as long as you or your parents want tbh
Most of those I've never really suffered from. I think everyone has suffered the awful dub problem. The last time a series I felt was half decent had a really awful dub character was Escaflowne (Dilandau) Since then the worst I think I've had was the change of cast between ROD (The OVA) and ROD...
Not much of a fan of the Pokemon TV series, however I will still defend the Digimon ones. Considering I was 17 when I saw them on Fox Kids (My god that was 10 years ago!!!!) I rather liked them despite everything (Admittedly at the time only saw the first 3 series, seen the 4th and 5th now...
I rather liked Wolf's Rain. I got about to episode 20 or so when it was on Propeller (???) on Sky, then it slipped me by. If nothing else it was rather different, though my memories of it have faded a bit.
Switching subject a little. I just saw some reviews for Kai Doh Maru which people liked...
Just started a rewatch of Hyper Police. Yikes, I forgot I even had this one floating around. Nothing overly intelligent of course, but pretty good fun all the same.
Force them to watch Fist of the North Star...
Oh wait that's just what my brother did to me :P
I would say it partially depends on what the person is into before hand. If they know comic books and stuff, I found the Read or Die OVA was a great starter for a friend of mine. My brother (who...
I'll stand on my high horse and say that most people around here consider 'westcounty' only to be Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Dorset.
But yeah, Devonshire dumpling here :P
The only time in all those 200 episodes where Sailor Moon rose above 'rather meh' for me is the last 10 or so episodes of R (second series) for a brief while it really shone, but unfortunately it didn't last.
