I only ever watched the first episode, but it was harrowing stuff for me. It poses plenty of very deep questions about what really happened. It was good, but I never followed up on it. Should do at some point :wink:

I did feel that the final few episodes were a little flat, a little rushed, and a little soppy (what was with that heart? gah!) But it was a pretty good mecha series in all (Far superior to the meh eva imo) it was fun, not groundbreaking by any means, but fun.

Addendum to previous post. While still great as a whole, the series is one of few which I think does need a sequel. Largely due to the somewhat uncompleted ending. Perhaps that is due to it being squished into 16 episodes rather than going for 24 or 26. Still, a pleasant surprise all round...
