After MediEvil failed to turn up once again this morn me and my brother took a little jaunt into the high street and picked up a copy of Dynasty Warriors.........phew, now I can finally play the darn thing. ;)

After an agonising wait Barclays finally straightened out my bank account so today I was able to order myself a few goodies. From my new importer of choice Caiman USA (unbelievably thrifty :P) I ordered Gantz #7+ Artbox and from United Publications the closing vol of Gunslinger Girl.

If it's any consolation Saiyuki's a fantastic read, hope you enjoy it. :) Today I got my copy of Haibane Renmei #3, although I had to have it shipped from the states it was most definitely worth the wait, I even got a pencil board thrown in for my troubles. ;)

I think what you're really after is a slice of the bizzare, blood drenched action series only anime can deliver. Excel Saga's more of a scattershot comedy whereas it sounds like you want something a little more action orientated. I'd suggest some of the more antiquated OTT splatter classics...

I felt compelled to vote for Char, I may know little of the character - well apart from what he looks like, but I felt this lil tournament is in dire need of a Gundam character, whilst I would have preferred Loran or Athrun, Char will have to do. ;)

Whilst I don't despise Eva - in fact I count myself amongst it's fans - I'm very much of the opinion it isn't deserving of its lofty reputation. I admire its veracity and willingness to subvert our expectations and play on our insecurities but it just doesn't have the narrative clout to back up...

Tomino's decision to declare Brain Powered as 'better than Evangelion' effectively sabotaged this show's reputation before it was even released. Which to be fair is a real shame as it's an entertaining, thought provoking series with idiosyncratic, well-developed characters and some intriguing...
