Most definitely, in fact I'd go as far as to suggest they've ruled the roost this entire past year. In terms of giving the fans what they want only the humble MVM have come close -- Cowboy Bebop, Witch Hunter Robin, Wolf's Rain, and Planetes -- that's four bonafide modern anime 'classics' right...

I'll certainly be picking this up come February 20th. It's one of those series I've been meaning to buy for some time, but is inevitably passed over in lieu of some newer/shinier/cheaper complete collection.

I must say this sounds intriguing, I'm a big, big Oshii fan (check out his live action Polish movie Avalon, man's certainly gifted) and I can't wait to see how he handles such an obtuse concept.

This morning I received my Texhnolyze artbox. I've got a soft spot for the visuals in Texhnolyze and the artwork wrapped around the box was every bit as gorgeous (in a grimy kinda way) as I was expecting, it was also bundled with what Geneon call a 'lenticular onsert', that's a nifty 3D pencil...

When I trudged downstairs this morning I found vol.4 of Texhnolyze on the doormat, still no sign of the artbox, though fingers crossed it'll turn up tomorrow. I also ordered MVM's bargain boxset through the Works' website.

I decided to grab one while I could, just to get my mitts on the You're Under Arrest OVAs and Ranma 1/2 movie at a knock down price. I question the quality of the actual release, but as long as the DVDs do the business, i.e actually play, I'll be happy.

The first manga I ever bought was a 'flopped' version of the SFII comic adaptation, I was about 9-10 years old at the time. Sadly enough, I think I still have them stuffed in a drawer somewhere, along with a few yellowing issues of DBZ . ;)
