...look, I know what you're really asking is "Yyyyy would Anime Limited do this?". I get it. Really, I do. Truly. Fyi, HellCat asked this very same question to Hanners, getting a vague none answer, so the answer is likely as simple as 'it makes money, people will go see Akira again (that aren't recluses)'. People tend to like the chance to revisit their favu tings, on gigantic screens, with earthshake inducing sound. Not meee, of course, but most certainly people. I rated the film 5/10 on first viewing, though the manga was alright, I guess~
