Seems this is no longer an issue, as today I received Cyber City Oedo 808 and the price on the package label was exactly what I paid for it. But would have been nice to at least receive an answer from AL, for customer satisfaction sakes.
Might also get it as I have their other Kickstarter releases, and I was a little gutted when Megazone 24 was US only shipping in their last Kickstarter.
@IdiomaticLynx , @sniper_samurai , did any of you already get an answer back from AL regarding the mentioning of the wrong pricing on the packaging label? Haven‘t heard back from them , so was wondering if you both received an answer.
Guess there will be no problem if you‘re located in the UK. Personally I got a message from UP1 that it will take seven more days for my package to be delivered, which was shipped last week on Tuesday and usually only take two days to arrive in Belgium. They also shipped Millennium Actress this...
Just checked and it’s possible to apply for an EORI number in Belgium. No online form though (typical) but you can download a PDF fill it in and email it or use snail mail to apply. Applying can be done as a firm or as a private person.
On the bright side of the spectrum I’ve received Dr. Stone today with a value of £45.00 on the package but it wasn’t caught by the Belgian custom services. It was delivered, just like FMP IV by the national postal services (BPost), so it seems the custom services only hand pick and check certain...
Received my FMP IV today from the sale, and luckily enough no custom charges this time, despite the value of £39.99 on the package. Will send a email to AL though as FMP IV was only £34.99 during the sale, so no idea why the fulfilment center even put a higher value on the package, as my order...
Was aware of that Rui, as I saw it mentioned on a Dutch forum ... but my penny didn't drop until I saw your message as indeed UP1 uses DPD for the most part when delivering packages here in Belgium.
Just got a message from UP1 that my package which was shipped last Tuesday is delayed due to missing information (New customs ID), and it might take another seven days before it can proceed further.
I'll not repeat the last sentence of the message UP1 send me ;) (hint: they're not all to happy)
I would be curious to know how many EU customers the smaller distributors like Anime Ltd. or MVM have, as I suspect a lot of those will no longer order UK releases as the prices with custom charges will be to high for some of those buyers.
So that could cut in the revenues they have with EU...
@MVM , what can be done for orders made in 2020, but only shipped in 2021 like was the case for Dr. Stone which shipped this week?
As it stands now, it probably will get hit with custom charges and I’ll have paid VAT twice that way.
