I'm incredibly disappointed and depressed by this news.
First of all is the PS3 and Vita store shutting, I've been waiting for them to bring that back up and while I'm frustrated, it was going to have to happen eventually.
Now for the big news... ffs. I've always used physical games as a way...
Saw GitS E1&2 just a few hours ago, it was awesome. I’m so glad I decided to see it in the cinema, the animation and art style and everything just really popped on such a big and bright screen. At first I was a bit… eh about the dub voice actors when they were announced but honestly they were...
"As always, stay tuned for more exciting news on all of our usual channels, we have some big news brewing as ever so watch this space!"
I know that they say this all the time, "we have news" etc etc... but BIG in BOLD on the GURREN LAGANN BLU RAY BLOG? You know what's big? A cinema screen...
Since mcm last month I’ve been starving for another con, and in just under 2 weeks there’s an Animangapop con near me. I’ve seen them before but never went, I know that the one near me is small and I’m guessing the others are too as I rarely hear about them. Does anyone here have any experience...
So amazon can get everyone back for the evangelion rebuild dubs... but not for something like GitS? I'm so disappointed. Sure they'll probably be great, but nothing compared to the original voice actors. Especially gutted about Richard Epcar not coming back, he's brilliant.
He was talking about how the film influenced Oshii's works going forward and how it also inspired many other things like Dark Souls 3 and that some movie that used footage of Angels Egg, also talking about how despite Angels Egg being a lot nicher than many other Anime and not the main thing...
Just got back from seeing Angels Egg... still collecting my thoughts. The intro by Jonathan Clements was really interesting, and gave some great context to the film that I feel made it an even better watch.
I'm really looking forward to the GitS preview next week too, I'm sure it'll be great 😁
I had that same reaction to the arson question. A bit jarring considering the very cheery mood with the interview etc.
This was my first big convention and it was so difficult in those first hours but totally worth it.
I sat in the front row for the premiere, and while great to be up close my...
@Hanners The Sparks of Tomorrow event isn't on the MCM website despite reservations for panels going live tomorrow, will there be a way to reserve my spot there soon or is it whoever can get in first on the day? (Unless I got something wrong, I'm new to cons)
I was originally going to a later showing of Akira today, but it was absolutely packed. Like 90% of the seats were booked, I was ready to go on a less convenient day or not at all... until just a few days ago they added more screenings and at an even more convinient time for me! Loved seeing it...
Yes I am. It just got released on digital in Japan so I watched it as soon as I could (vpn). It's only now coming to cinemas in the UK which is what I was talking about, I was so gutted when I saw it get announced for all those other countries lol I couldn't contain myself when it released on...
Just got home from seeing Another World in the cinema. What. A. Film. I absolutely loved the characters and story, I got a bit emotional at moments. One of the big plot points near the end made me audibly gasp... I covered my mouth as soon as I realised and got worried I was a bit too loud lol...
Finished watching Chainsaw Man Reze Arc in IMAX about 50 minutes ago... What a film. I had already read that part of the Manga so I've been looking forward to this for ages and I wasn't let down 😁. Sadly someone left the subtitles for the subbed version in despite the showing being dubbed so I...
Summer Wars and Wolf Children are up on ODEON's website with their release dates being in August. No Girl Who Leapt Through Time yet, I really want to see that again when it's in cinemas. Right now you cant book or see where they will be screened but ofc at some point closer to release tickets...
