GPX Cyber Formula Double One - Episodes 3 - 6 [Final] Unsurprisingly, this was more of the same, but I was happy with that and I had a good time with it. There was a very noticeable increase in fanservice compared to the TV series too (perhaps unsurprising as well given it's an OVA). Urusei...

Future GPX Cyber Formula - Episodes 28 - 37 [Final] This run of episodes to the end of the series were really good and what had left the endearing memory of why I liked this show a lot decades ago. Yes, it's formulaic and predictable but I happily got wrapped up in what was happening in the...

Future GPX Cyber Formula - Episodes 6 - 27 Simple and very formulaic but I have to admit I'm really enjoying this re-watch. This show also epitomises a key difference between the what was airing in Japan and the US at the time because even for a show like this, which is obviously aimed at a...

Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway - The Sorcery of Nymph Circe I've been looking forward to this so had quite a lot of expectation for it. Ultimately it didn't disappoint and I really liked it, although I will admit about halfway through I was starting to think it was getting a bit 'talky' but the...

Royal Space Force - The Wings of Honneamise Re-watched this again for a review on the podcast. I've lots to say about this film, and I'm looking forward to an in depth chat with Lewis about it. For this re-watch I watched the Japanese 4k set and the film looks absolutely gorgeous in UHD. Super...

Roujin Z A re-watch of this for the next episode of the podcast, I'm really looking forward to talking about this film. Blame! I first saw this at SLA in 2018 and have been meaning to re-watch it for a while. I still think it's a great film with some fantastic world building and I love the...

The Ghost in the Shell Cinema Event I was looking forward to this as the trailers have got me really hyped for this adaptation and it didn't disappoint. It felt familiar yet refreshingly new at the same time, love the tone and the way it looks, can't wait for it to start in July. Super...

Hi Everybody, The latest episode is out where Lewis I take a look at a couple of 80's OVAs based on the junior levels of sport in Japan with reviews of Bats & Terry and Outrun the Wind. Also for this episode of the podcast, Legend of US fandom Tim Eldred reached out to me to help promote a new...

Super Heavyweight God Gravion Zwei - Episodes 4 - 8 Zwei spends too much time with goofy character stuff in the first half but it's now picking up in episode 8. Fist of the North Star (2026) - Episode 13 Despite all my original misgivings about this reboot I have actually really enjoyed it so...

Angel's Egg I really like this film and it was great to be able to see it again at the cinema. The Jonathan Clements introduction was an unexpected bonus too, he brought some fantastic insight to the film. Super Heavyweight God Gravion Zwei - Episodes 1 - 3 My recollection of Zwei was that it...
