Not quite in the UK, normal price point for a 4K steelbook is £30 - £35 (which they're at price wise) but the collectors editions standard is £50 - £55 normally with steelbook, rigid case, posters, postcards, booklet etc. For ones pushing £70 there's normally 'super tat' like the Labyrinth...

Honestly doesn't bother me them releasing the movies, again I think we all understand its slim pickings out there in the anime world. But they shouldn't be treating it like its one of their anime products because its a fundamentally different market. To be blunt, us anime fans take a lot of sh¡t...

AL applying anime pricing to a live-action film like Labyrinth is a slippery slope for physical media collectors. They 'just' about get away with it for anime because most understand the licenses are a nightmare and generally high to deter reverse importers in Japan. But when you're asking £70...

Fully agree ABT 2 is better than the original (which is still great). With all the Arrow Golden Princess releases I'd advise pre ordering because the reverse importation is insane. If you're interested in the Chinese Ghost Story Trilogy the rumour is Arrow are doing 4K's instead of Shout's blu...

Also would've preferred single releases for the JC set (probably would've worked out around the same price) but still jumped on it as there's no idea how long or if they'll be standard editions of them all. On the cases, the fact it actually has them is a good sign they may be the 14mm UK ones...

UK Boutique Blu-ray bargains and deals

Quite a few cheaper on Rarewaves (some £15 ones on Arrow are £12.89 on RW) also worth noting though from Friday RW will have their monthly 10% discount code which should bring it down even more.

I will put hard cash down right now that sometime in the next 6 months they start ads on the lower priced tier to push more people onto the premium.

The News Thread (for news that does not need a thread)

I think the worst/funniest part is someone at Amazon must have watched some of this, even for a little tiny bit, and thought "damn, that's good!!" 😂

What did you RECEIVE today? PHOTOS EDITION!

Same with Crime Story & Heart Of Dragon 4K's then also went for Rosa, Saga Of the Phoenix, and Over Your Dead Body. Fingers crossed they actually put the Jackie 4Ks aside until mid Dec as they've sold out now!

What did you RECEIVE today? PHOTOS EDITION!

Wasn't planning on making an order in the sale but when I realised you could use it on preorders, even though they said you couldn't, I went crazy 🤦‍♂️

Need that extra time as their staff are protesting and refusing to work after they fired a bunch of people for trying to start a union 🤦‍♂️ They can take as long as it takes so it doesn't launch like that crapfest Cyberpunk 2077!!!

Wouldn't say the Studio4°C request is out of nowhere, especially considering Gkids just announced they have 'All You Need Is Kill' and they seem to partner with AL quite a bit. (My feelings on the choice of art style for that particular story are another matter though....)

I'll take your 7 years and raise you, I bought the Funimation DVD in 2006 and still haven't gotten past the halfway point 😅 I think after nearly 20 years I'm officially going to have to move it to my 'dropped' pile on MAL.
