Yeah, for someone like me who has the JP standard edition there's not much reason to get the UK/US version unless it has at least some of the extras that are CE-exclusive in Japan.

Shirobako was what I was waiting for, so I've made my order. An order that coincidentally(?) includes not one but two anime about filmmaking (Shirobako and Pompo the Cinephile). As well as... a lot of other stuff. Yay for free international shipping~

I might get Shirobako, although that will depend on the early bird price as it'd be a blind buy for me and I'm careful with those. Nothing else for me in the new pre-orders, but hopefully the catalogue deals will be better.

VLC does play blu-rays if you have MakeMKV installed. It can bypass region locks as well, although the option is buried in advanced settings.

My order from AtA's latest sale arrived, lots of stuff (unusually much for me) including MangaFuniRoll releases so it took a while to get dispatched. Not a huge fan of Erased's treatment but Aniplex rules do be Aniplex rules... At least the box has a nice texture.
