One of the two exclusive Amazon titles for this season here in the UK.
Amazon Prime has not been the friendliest of the lot when it comes to anime, and the same goes for Netflix. Unlike the United States however, the United Kingdom and select territories that have access to the Prime subscription model have less issues to deal with. In fact students can even acquire a special Student Prime subscription for half the asking price at £39 if they reach certain requirements.
But what about the anime? Well Amazon have an exclusive partnership deal with two programming blocks. Yuki Yuna is a Hero: Washio Sumi Chapter and Yuki Yuna is a Hero: Hero Chapter are both under the Animeism programming block, and as such it will be streaming exclusively on the Amazon Prime service in Japanese audio with English subtitles during its simulcast run. New episodes will be added every Friday.
Washio Sumi and Hero are the names of the show’s second season, split into two different chapters.
Washio Sumi Chapter (Washio Sumi no Shou) will air first for six episodes.
Hero Chapter (Yuusha no Shou) will then air afterwards with another six episodes.
Two years before “Yuki Yuna is a Hero.” Sumi Washio is only in 6th grade, but she’s a hero who was chosen by Shinjyu to save the world. Sumi fulfills her role while cherishing her precious regular life with her classmates, Sonoko Nogi and Gin Minowa. The story moves onto Yuki Yuna from Sumi Washio. An incident occurs at the Sanshu Middle School Hero Club who used to have a peaceful everyday life.
