AOASHI ep 21
Tactical battle.

A Couple of Cuckoos ep 19
Forgotten memories.
The current plot seems to be heading into dumb territory, unless Nagi really does have a brother and Erika's dad's is scheming something twisted.

Bucchigire eps 7 & 8
Investigation & a plan enacted.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations episode 265 A good team.

League of Nations Air Force Aviation Magic Band Luminous Witches episode 9 Industrial power.

Parallel World Pharmacy episode 9 Plagued.

Yurui Deco episode 10 Mistaken identities.

Little Busters!: EX episodes 1-8 (Complete. Essentially an adaptation of several routes from the source material. It was okay but not quite as good as the core series.) 3/5

Love Hina
episodes 1-11

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury - Prologue
Sets up the new series, airing in Autumn, with the start of what I'm guessing will be the conflict at the centre of the plot. The motive seemed a bit dumb, new mechs are being made however they maim the pilots and so the big bad decides to raid the place where they are making them/experimenting on new versions and wipes everybody out! I think he's also a "Spacian", as opposed to the "Earthians" and has his own idea on making mechs. So no more Gundams, except the one prototype that our protagonist escapes in after shooting down other mechs, despite being 4, which is also kinda dumb, but I called it early on.
Art and animation look good. The battle in space was nothing that hasn't been done a million times in mech shows before.
7/10

Classroom of the Elite 2nd Season episode 10 Cold caller.

My Isekai Life: I Gained a Second Character Class and Became the Strongest Sage in the World! episode 11 Legends speak.

Love Hina episodes 12-24 (Complete. A romance series that had its story and character moments but faltered for me due to the repetitive and loud nature of the physical comedy, which often felt shoehorned into almost any given situation. The central leads were also hard to root for at times.) 3/5

Comet Lucifer complete series: Lots of good mecha battles if you're into that sort of thing. The lead characters were good. The story was a bit derivative and confusing. Sometimes they were living on Comet Lucifer and sometimes it was called Planet Gift. The motives of the bad guys were quite frankly laughable, but it all looked cool. 95% of the time, the place was totally depopulated apart from the main characters. Best not to think about it and just enjoy the ride.

Luminous Witches eps 8 & 9
Homecoming Japanese and American editions.

Call of the Night ep 9
Forever friends.

Lycoris Recoil eps 7-9
Declaration, reunion and truth.

Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun episode 10 Symbol.

Smile of the Arsnotoria The Animation episode 10 Anger in the library.

Lupin III (Rewatch) episodes 14-23 (Complete. I had a good time rewatching this series. It was also a very rare occasion wherein I decided to watch the new dub option and it worked fairly well for the most part.) 4/5

Lupin III: Mystery of Mamo (Film)
As far as Lupin outings go this one was decent but I wouldn’t say it was one of the stronger offerings I’ve seen. 3/5

Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World (Uncensored) Episode 10

Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun Episode 10

My Stepmom's Daughter Is My Ex Episode 10

Smile of the Arsnotoria the Animation Episode 10

The Legend of Prince Valiant Season 1 Episodes 1-26 COMPLETED (just season 2 left to go which is 39 episodes) - Initially I was a tad underwhelmed by this when I watched the first four episodes, mainly as I found the bickering between Valiant, Arn and Rowanne, combined with the the show's apparent penchant for having her be kidnapped and tied up or carried off, to give off an unpleasant whiff of potential sexism and "this is and should be a man's world" vibes. (TBF I wasn't paying the closest attention so take that with a pinch of salt) BUT! Regardless of my earlier misgivings when I watched Episode 5 I was very impressed and quickly became hooked. The series definitely moves past all that "damsel perpetually in distress" stuff and also refreshingly portrays men crying and expressing platonic physical affection in a way that still feels unusually forward thinking for a kids' cartoon even in 2022 (sad though that state of affairs is I must give the show credit for it). The writing is excellent with plenty of adventure, a compelling plot and characters and its heart firmly in the right place, moral messages are good and the series makes a real effort to actually show rather than just tell all the time. It's also more raw and realistic than most animated children's and family fare in some key ways - not much blood but there are deaths and injuries and some episodes deal with issues like child abuse and the like, plus words like "murder" and "kill" are used when needed rather than "destroy" etc. I mean considering it's set during the time of Arthurian legend and features wars you'd kind of expect that much really but I still feel it's worth mentioning. The animation is consistently solid enough to support the drama, there's plenty of lovely background art, and the musical score is good enough that I may seek it out in OST format after finishing the series :) People here may have noticed that I no longer post in the viewing journal thread unless I actually complete a series or at least an entire season of it, but I will note that I have watched the first four episodes or so of Season 2 and am thus far pretty impressed with that too, feeling that it maintains the overall quality of Season 1 - I mention this because when I have watched all of Season 2 I will be able to say whether I think this series' relative lack of popularity contrasted with say, Batman: TAS or Gargoyles is justified or not. I'm certainly excited to see how it all pans out :)

The Legend of Prince Valiant Season 2 Episodes 1-39 (Episodes 27-65 of the whole series) COMPLETED - Having now completed all 65 episodes of The Legend of Prince Valiant, I maintain that the series is excellent throughout and vastly better than it's relative lack of popularity would suggest. It's not completely perfect, but great entertainment that kept on moving me to the point of tears 😅

Call of the Night episode 10 Skewed ways.

Chimimo episode 10 Diet and errand running.

Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? IV episode 8 Hesitation.

The Devil is a Part Timer! Season 2 episode 9 Defender.

The Yakuza's Guide to Babysitting episode 10 The real you.

Lupin III: Episode 0 “First Contact” (TV Special) This special had an interesting approach, providing a what-if scenario as to how Lupin and company came to meet. 3.5/5

Lupin III: Prison of the Past (TV Special)
The most recent TV special and a prison-break concept that was a lot of fun. 3.5/5

Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms (Film)
Though the premise was interesting I just didn’t find myself getting attached to the film as others have. Maybe one day I’ll give it a rewatch and it’ll click more. 3/5
