From up on Poppy Hill (Film) A very enjoyable and often calm viewing experience that handled its drama pretty well in the second half. I also loved the design of the Latin Quartet and its eclectic layout. 4/5

I've been consistently impressed with this second season. The jokes are still good, it's still well animated and they've even made a character out of the previously one-note Ishigami.

This is the most fun I've had with the show so far, I just wish the writing was on a par with the visuals.

Well, that happened. Full marks for originality, but I'm still just not that invested in any of it. Probably wait a couple of weeks and see what other folk's reactions are like.

I'd forgotten about them, actually. You're absolutely right; they've got very good story payoffs. Also, Bunji is voiced in Japanese by Fumihiko Tachiki (Gendo in Evangelion), so that's an automatic win for me.

Did you ever find it a bit unintentionally kinky that Dr. Tokioka dressed Brandon up as a cowboy when he brought him back to life?
(A quick shout-out as well for there being a character named Bob Poundmax. He sounds like a one-man discount store!)

If my understanding is correct, the Japanese Blu-ray release of The Dragon Dentist actually includes the complete set of Animator Expo shorts (bar two) as an extra!
I tend to recognise actors who played memorable characters but honestly I never actually realised that was Gendo's VA until you said. Having said that it's been a long time since I watched Eva. Interesting! Thanks for pointing that out.
As for your question....that's pretty funny.
Honestly I hadn't really considered it before and now that I think about it, it's EXTREMELY weird. That would be like Bob Morton in Robocop dressing Robo up in cosplay before bringing him online. I mean whether Tokioka just really likes cowboy movies and badass outlaw-like heroes and wanted his undead avenger to have that as his aesthetic or he has some dodgy fetish....either way it's pretty odd.Yeah Bob Poundmax is a great name, nearly mentioned that one too. Yasuhiro Nightow has a real talent for crazy character names. The names of the Gung Ho guns in Trigun never fail to bring a smile to my face either. Though "Brilliant Dynamites Neon" is probably my favourite name of the series overall.As for Dragon Dentist I did pre-order yeah, I hope yours has come through since your reply. I didn't realise the animator expo shorts were on the JP release, interesting. Real shame they couldn't have ported the actual Dragon Dentist one at least. I'd pay for a seperate Blu of the Expo shorts (Are you listening Anime Limited?).

Aside from the last episode being a bit too fast it's another fantastic series from Yoh Yoshinari. As with Little Witch Academia he sure knows how to make his series fun while developing an interesting story. Great production as well with episodes 1 and 5 being highlights for big smears and wacky Trigger shenanigans.

I would just love that! Though, I don't know how well other "shorts" releases AL have sold. It seems they haven't sold all too well. Which is a shame, as I love shorts.
As for Dragon Dentist, I must say I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. I especially liked the "dreamy" atmosphere of the first episode.
And now I'm left with the image of Robocop dressed up as Rem.

Uzaki is still annoying and very little of it is actually funny. It did have one LOL moment, but was such a smutty gag that it was low hanging fruit in terms of getting a laugh out of me
