HOLY MOLY... Hibiki is basically a female Saitama, shame it wasn't much of a tournament tbh. I'm really liking Zina, she seems like a fun quirky character.

On episode 8 of part one so far. Finally understand some of the early memes, but a cursory peek through CR shows that stands show up in part 2.

Yeah the way the anime adapts it puts it as
Season 1 - Parts 1 and 2
Season 2 - Part 3 (1st half)
Season 3 - Part 3 (2nd half)
Season 4 - Part 4
Season 5 - Part 5

There simply wasn't enough Part 1 material to cover a full cour so they included Part 2 to make it a 2 cour season.

Sakura Quest eps 1-3 (dub)
Continuing my Funimation queue clearance quest. Something very familiar about this, obviously same studio (and some staff including character designer) as Shirobako. It's a bit like the girls from that were in a different situation or the K-on girls grew up and were still together, but in a totally different setting. The 5 main girls do seem to bond very quickly, maybe a little too quickly, but the chemistry is very good.

Macross FB7 Galaxy Flow Soul: Listen to My Song! - Crossover movie between Macross 7 and Frontier that basically serves as a recap for 7. Considering how glacial the pacing of 7 is the idea of compressing it into a 90 minute movie isn't such a bad idea though it does cut out a lot of side characters and other development. On the Frontier side it was pretty cool to see Ranka and Sheryl covering Fire Bomber songs towards the end and the way the characters watch 7 through VHS tapes delivered by Gavil is amusing. Not quite a replacement to the series but still pretty good to introduce fans of Frontier to the older series. 7/10

It was alright, felt very fillerish and very hit and miss with that. Some nice eps every now and then. 6/10
