Macross 7 episodes 42-49 [End] - I finally finished it! Okay so far this is pretty much my least favourite instalment in the franchise. While it certainly retains the humour of the original series and had quite a good 2nd half, I can't forgive it for the absolutely glacial pacing and an opening 10 episodes that just kinda meanders about. I have quite a few more problems but despite everything I quite enjoyed it for what it was. I have another few OVAs to get through but I'll tackle them in about a week. A fine 6/10 I guess.

Hugtto! PreCure episodes 1-4 - My first time watching a PreCure series and it's started out pretty fun.

Encouragement of Climb Season 3 episodes 1-2 - Already the production is looking fantastic with episode 2 directed, storyboarded and animated by China, an animator whose credits include Fate/Apocrypha #22, Mob Psycho 100 II #5 and #11 as well as a few episodes of Flip Flappers.

New character introduction, some good humour, some dropped hints and good Shigure moments (probably my favourite character along with Tohru's friends). Good stuff, if not remarkable.

Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life ep 9
Protag-kun in the spotlight! It's not really fair to call him protag-kun though because he isn't some nobody like say, your average isekai protag. Although he is clearly meant to be at least somewhat a blank canvas for audience participation, he does have more character than many.

Hitoribocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu ep 8
Every time a new character gets added to the ending procession it's incredibly satisfying. Although I imagine we won't get any more now this season (based on the OP).

Senryuu Girl ep 9
I, er. This left no impression on me. I can't remember anything about it.

...I'm so far behind. TOTAL MELTDOWN OF THE ANIME-WATCHING SCHEDULE.

I hate being more than an episode behind so that'd be tough for me...
They certainly were mine in the first adaptation. From where I had got to (ep 7 I think) he doesn't seem to have as many scenes as I remember from the first adap.

I wonder if that's because the adaptation is more or less accurate...
