Seems a bit episodic with very little overarching plot or character progression. If I didn't know it was anime I might have mistaken it for a Western cartoon, especially as I am watching the dub.

Yea, pretty much what I remember from it was it’s pretty much episodic apart from the wand making an effort to tie things together, only later on do the episodes seem more connected, and at least one character introduced in the latter half kinda makes you go “yea it’s a trigger show”
 
SAO: Alicization ep 20
Ah yes, the episode that exposes all the (even more extreme) abuses of the Church. I feel like it lacked some of the impact of the LN, but that might be because they toned it down a little for the adaptation. Or it just left more of an impression in text/the first time I was exposed to it.

Girly Air Force episode 9 Today I witnessed a plane eating a pizza.

The Promised Neverland episode 9 Wasn’t expecting such a cliffhanger.

K-ON! (Rewatch) episodes 10-12 & bonus episodes (Complete. I’ll end up saying the same thing for season two but there’s just something special about K-ON! which I really enjoy, and this rewatch has merely reinforced my love for the series.) 4.5/5

I really do like how this series handles multiple entwining plot points at once. It makes it feel like everyone has their own agenda independent of the protag. In fact, he feels completely along for the ride a lot of the time. Yes I know it's still basically just a harem series, but it is a good one :p

A fun little episode. Particularly because the new character reminds me of one of my friends D&D characters in a campaign I'm currently part of.

Wait, didn't they already sort out Rona's whole "seeing Yusha just as the hero rather than a person" thing? I mean, it's a cute episode and quite well handled (if a bit cookie-cutter, but that's not out of the ordinary for this show), but I'm not sure it really added anything new.

Yay for getting to see the rest of the crew being cool! Also, more and more obvious who the overall bad guy in this show is.

I liked episode 8. Chock full of references like Star Wars, Akira and Your Name.

School trip time. The fanservice part in the onsen was a bit stupid: "I must stand up to make my point" "well if you're going to stand up, so am I", "me too", "and me", "me also"!

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 5: Golden Wind episode 21.5 Recapping events whilst waking up feeling so horny.

Seijun Suzuki’s Branded to Kill (Film) A stylistic and rather moody thriller which incorporates an experimental aesthetic which ended up getting the director fired and subsequently blacklisted for years after he successfully sued Nikkatsu. It’s enjoyable enough, and I can see how it became influential. 3.5/5
