What manga are you reading now?

My Daughter Left the Nest and Returned an S-Rank Adventurer volume 1: despite the rather clunky title (which the author apologises for in the afterword), this is a tale of an adventurer who retires to his village very early, after losing a limb, when he finds a baby in the woods, which he raises and trains. At the age of 12 (!) she goes off to to the city to be an adventurer and rapidly rises to the top of the charts. So good is she, that she is unable to return to see her dad and friends for over five years due to the number of monsters only she can conquer. It's more a look into being separated from loved ones, the burden placed on those who are too good at their jobs and too nice to say no, as well as the joys of the simple life in the countryside.

I enjoyed it and look forward to seeing what happens next (I think there are at least ten volumes so far). Update after checking Wikipedia: Oh, I see there is also an anime. Must check that out too. :)

The anime is pretty good, although it does cut out quite a lot of content that's not relevant until later. Not the biggest crime of course, but I felt it lost some of its depth due to that. The LNs are great though, I hope you enjoy the rest if you carry on to the end! :)

Reincarnated as the Piggy Duke: This Time I'm Gonna Tell Her How I Feel! volume 8: I feel we have truly jumped the shark in this series. The grammar is getting worse (do we blame the author or translator?) and the story was very silly. Even though I've paid for v9, I doubt I'll bother unless I'm really desperate.

Oh well, back to My Daughter Left the Nest and Returned an S-Rank Adventurer volume 2, which has so far been an action packed tale of life on the farm in a little village on the edge of nowhere.

Lore Olympus Volume 7 (Hardcover) - Still so good, can't wait to find out what happens next and it's sooo romantic! 🥰

Vampire Hunter D Volumes 5-6 Dramatized Adaptation Audiobooks - These are so fun and entertaining even if they are a bit silly, I really enjoy every volume :)

Been reading a lot of the Fujimoto Tatsuki shorts

Goodbye Eri and Shikaku are my two favorites but all have been pretty good

Going to finish 17-21 then follow on with 22-26 as they're well worth the read. I would read Chainsaw man but I really can't be arsed with 19+ volume series at the moment
