When I starting collect anime, I wanted every uk release. Once I done that, I started collecting region 2/B from Australia and the USA. Then thanks to this forum I started collecting geo-locked titles too. I'm not really interested in a region free player as there's just so many titles already out there for me to collect.

The Squid Girl BD set with both seasons 1 and 2 just came out. Just to he doubly sure will I be able to play it on my PS4 (especially since there is no chance of a UK release)

PS3 consoles on the latest firmware (4.82) can be transformed into a region free Blu-ray player with Ps3Xploit, as long as the console wasn't made AFTER DECEMBER 2010.
I used webMAN on Rebug CFW to change the Blu-ray region code of my Japanese PS3 to Region B. It could play the region locked UK Blu-ray of A Silent Voice.

That's interesting. Well my console is after that era so I'm no use, granted Sony is pretty strict and can ban users if they use any sort of mod for their consoles (like using English patch for Tales of Vesperia PS3 for instance).

Rosario+Vampire is likely to get the Blu-ray upgrade by MVM at some point.

Rosario is possible if the dvds sold well for mvm, but I don't think lodoss would do well enough in the UK

That's great to hear, I was worried that Anime Ltd's previous announcement of the title would **** with the region codes.
