After completing Goku earlier on this year I wanted a few more DB figures. Trunks arrived the other week and I've spent part of this week prepping the figure ready for painting.
Trunks - Saiyan combat suit. Non scale, 17.5cm high.

Cleaned and ready to prime - Tamiya Fine Primer & Mr Hobby resin primer. The Mr Hobby is brushed on and is good for hiding smaller imperfections in hard to clean areas...

Primed and sanded down with 2000 grit paper, smooth...
Masked, sprayed white (base coat) the 3 coats of Yamaha Extreme Blue. A light sand between coats and a full wet sand with 2000 grit paper after it had full cured...
3 successively lighter coats of blue applied for the highlights, then topped with a coat of Satin acrylic varnish...
He's now at a stage where I can spray him at the same time as the Simca figure. They should both be finished soon
