Oh man, I didn't realize it was so soon....7am may be pushing it for me to watch live, but who knows with me as my sleeping pattern is all over the play just now.

I just need a Persona 5 date, show me another Street Fighter character reveal trailer and some Dark Souls 3. Some surprises would be nice of course but not overly fussed, although there have been hints that Danganronpa 3 is incoming which would be nice.

Nice post Normanic. So 7am? Might be a bit too much but I will try maybe. Not really looking forward to anything in particular but there are quite a few games that I want to see more of. Regarding Yakuza, I dont think we can see an announcement of a Yakuza coming to the end, just a new Yakuza itself. Those announcements are worthless to the japanese market I guess xD And also, I dont think this is the right place to announce Shenmue 1 and 2 HD too :\

I thought Danganronpa 3 was said to be years away? I could have sworn I read that somewhere. I hope that's not true, I'd love a third Danganronpa ASAP.

Well they could announce the title with a teaser, then unveil the gameplay and such in 2016, followed by a release in 2017.

That's true. Makes me wonder what platforms they'll put it on. I'm not sure how strong the Vita is doing in Japan but overseas I'm not even sure the Vita will be a thing in 2017.

The Vita is doing very well in Japan (and I presume Asia as well given there's a lot of Vita games for those regions), it'll last until next gen.

It's just the way Sony has handled the English release is what made people think they'll give up on it. That Legacy comment was only towards the first model and a lot of morons are thinking it's the platform itself.

I don't think they've given up on it all together, I didn't mean they will discontinue it or whatever, I was more referring to generally poor sales in the West. Anyway, won't the Vita's successor (If there is one) be out by 2017? I mean the vita will be 8 years old in 2017, I imagine it would be at the very tail end of it's life span. It would make more sense to either put it on PS4 or Sony's next portable.

I don't think Sony will put out a Vita successor for a long while. The Vita and 3DS are part of this generation so I can't see them getting replaced for ages.

Not to get too off topic but I don't think Nintendo would hold off putting out another handheld. If Nintendo's NX is a new console and they put it out in the next couple of years it would surprise me if they had a new DS soon before or after release. I think Sony is probably less likely because they generally have less to improve on, they already have some amazing graphics for a handheld and a high resolution screen and what not, areas the 3DS is lacking in somewhat.

As a quick reminder, the Pre-TGS conference that Sony is live-streaming is starting very soon. I managed to get up for it and will update this post for any new information!

Holdup, looks like the stream's timer is incorrect. The conference starts at 4pm JST but in UK time that would be 8am.

Overall that was a pretty solid conference. It's a shame that both Danganronpa and Gravity Rush are no longer Vita exclusives but at least it's still exclusive to Sony.

Nice to see Kingdom Hearts II.8 (I presume the 8 is actually supposed be an infinity symbol but hey) confirmed, at least fans who missed out on DDD finally be able to play it. Curious about the other two additions though.

But most importantly, Danganronpa! No wait, even better... YAKUZA! 2 Yakuza games in seconds. One remake and another instalment. I hope the devs aren't rushing their series.

Some Japanese trailers for anyone who missed out on the conference:

Bloodborne: The Old Hunters [PS4]

Gravity Rush Remastered [PS4]

Gravity Rush 2 [PS4]

New Everybody's Golf [PS4]

Translation for the New Danganronpa V3 trailer, courtesy of NeoGAF:
A new academy?

Monokuma: So you say the new Danganronpa's coming out on Vita?
Monokuma: Or is it coming out on PS4 as well?
Monomi: I don't have a Vita or a PS4...
Monokuma: Then what're ya watching the conference for!?

New mutual killing?

DEBATE SCRUMMAGE
Start!

Monomi: I didn't go to the second-floor classroom!
Shirokuma: Togami-kun's been killed! [Don't read into this, I can almost guarantee this is just the trailer authors messing with the fans]
Kurokuma: [You tossed that vase at him?] - can't really make out this one

Shirokuma: I saw what happened!
Kurokuma: A-hahahahahahaha!
Monomi: It wasn't me!

How awkward, getting excited about Danganronpa 3 while I have this avatar. I'm pumped though; might grab the PS4 version this time.

Mildly curious/worried about FFXIV in VR and the effect this will potentially have on my life.

Hyped for Danganronpa 3, wish they'd at least given a year for release. Gravity Rush 2 not being on Vita kind of sucks, but I'll still take a new Gravity Rush game. I only played the first one briefly when I had PS+ for a short while but I enjoyed it. The only thing is the combat seemed very reliant on motion control IIRC which I found frustrating, I hope they change that or add an alternative control scheme. I'm a really casual KH fan, I only played 2 and I never beat it, but I'm cautiously excited for KH 2.8 despite the ridiculous name for both it and the games within it. I get that DDD HD is a port of the 3DS game but I have no idea about the other two games, I know Birth by Sleep is the PSP game, so I assume that BBS 0.2 is some kind of prequel? I have no clue at all about Back Cover.

Does anyone know what time the Persona stage event is in GMT? I'd very much like to watch that live.

The Persona stage event will run from 2:30pm til 3:30pm on Saturday, which means 6:30am Saturday over here.

A decent show, looking forward to more Bloodborne, some Danganronpa 3 and Gravity Rush. Think I may have to avoid the Vita sub reddit as it will be infested with whiny greeting faced idiots swimming in salt for a while I'm sure. Now roll on Persona stage event and Street Fighter V reveal (even though it's pretty much expected to be Karin, and I don't care about her lol).
