I remember seeing some of the early results for this and yeah it's a bad list.

This is what happens when fanboys/girls get to vote for this sort of thing. Critics might not always know best but there lists are often much more subjective and balanced. This list is unfortunately mostly useless, thats not to say it's not filled with mostly good shows but the ranking of them is pretty out of whack.

Yeah I saw this list a while back, keep in mind as with all these types of popularity polls it's more a indication of which fan-base is more active but still interesting nonetheless.
Also:
Female top 10:
1. "Tiger & Bunny"
2. "Cardcaptor Sakura"
3. "Osomatsu-san"
4. "Joker Game"
5. "Love Live! The School Idol Movie"
6. "Mobile Suit Gundam"
7. "Detective Conan"
8. "PSYCHO-PASS"
9. "Haikyu!!"
10. "Attack on Titan"

Male Top 10:
1. "Puella Magi Madoka Magica"
2. "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion"
3. "Love Live!" (1st season)
4. "Neon Genesis Evangelion"
5. "Love Live!" (2nd season)
6. "Gintama"
7. "Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2"
8. "Is The Order a Rabbit?"
9. "Legend of the Galactic Heroes"
10. "Revolutionary Girl Utena"

Funnily enough got part 1 of tiger and bunny today having never seen it but that list to me is shocking no toradora or chobits!!! Have they watched them?

I can't help but feel that "best x OF ALL TIME" lists should always introduce some kind of strong negative bias the newer the thing being voted for is, like a vote for anything made in the last five years should only count as 0.1 of a vote for anything made longer ago than 20 years, with a sliding scale in between. Otherwise you get results like that bloody BBC Great Britons poll that Princess Diana came third in. Princess Diana. Best known for being a toff people felt sorry for. 3rd greatest person Britain has ever produced in thousands of years of history. Greater than Charles Darwin, William Shakespeare and Isaac Newton.

Madoka, Osomatsu-san and Code Geass are pretty good. But they're not best of all time good (I can't speak for Tiger and Bunny and Love Live but I get the feeling the same applies).

This list doesn't make much sense to me.
I would of thought more well known series that would of made the cut like
Dragonball z
Naruto
Bleach
One piece
Fairy tail

It's supposed to say Hyouka, dame you Google translated.

Just like
"High Queue!!" is Haikyuu!!
"Tatami Half Mythology College" is Yojouhan Shinwa Taikei/The Tatami Galaxy
"Advance Giant" is Shingeki no Kyojin/Attack on Titan
"Cancer and Gon" is Gan to Gon
"What is your name?" is Kimi no Na wa./Your Name.
"Mononoke Mai" is Mononoke
"Nadia in the Mushi no Sea" is Fushigi no Umi no Nadia/Nadia: Secret of Blue Water
"Twelve nationalities" is Juuni Kokuki/The Twelve Kingdoms
"Yu Yu White Paper" is Yu Yu Hakusho
"Re: Starting from Zero World Life" is Re:Zero
"Bloodfield Frontline" is Kekkai Sensen/Blood Blockade Battlefront
"Boys Hollywood" is Shounen Hollywood
"Mobsilco 100" is Mob Psycho 100

On a list of manga, sure. But this is a list of anime.

In hindsight I should have checked them after "Google translated them" but I'm a lazy get. But have no fear I shall correct them promptly, do feel free to point others out if you see any.

The others are mostly things that are easy to work out - Galactic Heroes Legend -> Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Lupine the Third -> Lupin III, that sort of thing.

Not sure what 38th should be, though.

Hoshi no Ko Poron - Wikipedia for those who prefer the original title when searching.

I don't think Chobits or Toradora should be anywhere near the list. Likewise Bleach has had negligible cultural relevance, especially given that the poll was only done this year. It's interesting to see which older series weathered the recency bias best; the lack of things like Rose of Versailles is jarring!

I think that Madoka, Geass and Osomatsu-san do all deserve their places, though. They were all major cultural phenomenons over in Japan and still get merchandise and hype; naturally they still have active fanbases too. Removing the duplicates (e.g. standalone movies based on series which also charted) would have been nice. I freaking love Tiger & Bunny but both of its films don't deserve to join it in the top ten and it's far from being the only example of this.
