Yeah, Saw this earlier. Love the Supernatural TV series and been looking forward to this since it was announced.

I like the packaging for the blu-rays as well, fits in really well with the packaging for the live action version.

I don't like the price of £95 each lol. They come with English subtitles though.
The first 2 episodes will only cost £9 =]
 
Really excited for this. I hope they end up doing more than the first two seasons of Supernatural, because i'd love to see the anime version of Castiel.
 
Wow! I hadn't even heard of this...looks pretty cool!

I'd probably wait for the price to seriously drop before I thought of buying them though...

More likely to be the oposite, pre order discounts are often as cheap as it gets.
Also BDs don't tend to get reprints (minimum runs of 3000, it's why most anime BDs are limited editions), so may also go OOP and increase in price if you leave it more than about 6-18 months.

Those prices are fairly low as well, £50 per disk is about standard. So £95, for 3 (before store discount) is quite good.
 
I just hope for a UK release. Especially as it doesn't really need a dub. The live-action covers that, so really what would be the point?
 
I dunno, I wouldn't mind Jared and Jensen dubbing it. I could show it to my parents (big Supernatural fans) that way. Plus, why wouldn't you want to watch it that way?
 
The anime' first season will feature 22 episodes. These will be pulled from the live action program's first and second season, but will also include some new stories created solely for this project. Supernatural will be broken up into three releases in Japan. The first set, containing episodes 1 and 2 hits on January 12th. Episodes 3-12 debut in February, and then the final set bows in April.

I have not seen one minute of the original but the trailer is giving me real old-school Madhouse 'City gothic' vibes. This is definitely A Good Thing. Surely a no-brainer for a western release?
 
The pessimist in me really wasn't sure about this, but seeing the trailers it actually looks pretty good.

Was it just me though, or did anyone else think that the guy doing Dean's voice, actually sounds a little like Jensen? (Just Japanese :p)
 
The only thing regarding stories is if they'll have enough time. Supernatural's stories sometimes felt they never had time to develop (and a lot of the show was filler with little behind the boys main objectives.) I'm just a little sceptical about truncating a 43 minute show by 20 minutes of runtime. Also will it bring new to the table, anything for fans of the US series.

On the flipside, I suppose it's good that the story will be reaching some new people, even if it means a different medium.
