Might as well have both big conventions in the same thread considering they're arriving in the same weekend and there's going to be big news on both sides (UK fans will expect something from Manga, Animatsu and Anime Limited while US fans will expect Discotek and Funimation related stuff).

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Examples from last year's announcements:
MCM Manchester:

Otakon:
- Aniplex announced release details for the first volume of Nisekoi: False Love.
- Funimation announces Cowboy Bebop release details and more license announcements including Haruhi Suzumiya, Lucky Star, Steins;Gate movie and Strike Witches movie.
- MangaGamer announced numerous visual novel titles.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

There won't be as many as there were from Anime Expo but there may be a special announcement or two. Who knows, Manga and Funimation might even announce Dragon Ball Super.

I really hope there is some info on the Steins;Gate movie from Otakon. Steins;Gate is one of my favourite shows and the wait for the movie is killing me. The fact it isn't even out in the US yet is not giving me any hope for a UK release any time soon.

It's not very good anyway. The Japanese release has English subs too I think.

I'd want the dub.

MCM MANCHESTER: ANIME LIMITED

- PING PONG PING PONG PING PONG. Anime Limited will be releasing Ping Pong the Animation this October on Blu-ray and DVD, same on-disc contents as the Funimation version.
- Q4 line-up is slowly unveiled. This October (TBC) to include Ping Pong and Sword Art Online II Part 2. This November (TBC) to include Fuse and Samurai Flamenco Part 1 (*Blu-ray only and subtitle only*).

Oh wow! Ping Pong!

That's a few licenses crossed off my upcoming list too with Fuse and Flamenco coming out this year. (I keep a list of upcoming licenses so I don't accidentally import something coming to the UK I want.)
I wonder what other titles they will be getting out this year. Nerima? Short Peace? FMP!?

OTAKON: ANIPLEX OF AMERICA

Already announced titles:
- Sword Art Online II: Volume 2: Phantom Bullet Part 2 (September 22nd)
- Sword Art Online II: Volume 3: Caliber (November 17th)
- The Irregular at Magic High School: Volume 2: Nine Schools Competition Arc (September 15th)
- The Irregular at Magic High School: Volume 3: Yokohama Disturbance Arc (December 8th)
- The Aniplex Calendar, new mobile app
- Your lie in April English dub announcement
- Tsukimonogatari: Yotsugi Doll Arc (September 15th)
- Durarara!! x2 Shou: Volume 1 (September 29th)
- Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works: Box Set I (August 25th)

Pretty much the same as Anime Expo with some minor differences. Mahouka (Irregular at Magic High School) now has proper release dates for Volumes 2 and 3, we knew what month they would be released but not the day.

OTAKON: VERTICAL

New licenses:
- Mysterious Girlfriend X
- The God's Lie
- Devil's Line

Updates on existing licenses:
- The publisher has been 'tremendous growth' in the last 2 years. Sales up 70% so far in this year.
- Nichijou has been wanted for a long time but Bandai held up the rights
- Chi's Sweet Home has kept Vertical in business for 3 years.

OTAKON: VIZ MEDIA

New licenses:
- Death Note: Blanc Et Noir ~ artbook, LIMITED RUN
- Goodnight Pun Pun ~ manga

I'm excited to try The God's Lie and Devil's Line from Vertical. They tend to get really great manga along with a few mainstream titles that seem to allow them to pick up the lesser known titles. I just can't get behind something that revolves around saliva, so a pass for Mysterious Girlfriend X from me.

It's great to her Vertical are doing better.

A: I'm thinking 2016, but hey there's a whole month left after our November slate.

Tamako Market
Q: When is Tamako Market out on BD?
A: Not sure about Tamako Market as of yet

The issue of Sentai's Sunrise rescues really IS interesting.

Looking around online, they've apparently got dibs on some great stuff. I didn't know The Big O was one of the shows in question, but that NEEDS to be made easily available.

I'm aware that Yoshiyuki Tomino's Brain Powerd is apparently one of Sentai's rescues. It'd be REALLY cool to get some more non-Gundam Tomino anime out in the West.

I believe they also have Argentosoma as a possible rescue. I already own the Bandai Visual set of that. It's a really under-rated little show, and I'd love to see it reach more people.

There's a lot of potentially cool sstuff that could come out of this. So yes, like they say, do keep asking about it, people!

So... Anime Limited and Manga UK tweeted me back saying they've got me covered with licenses today.

I am now expecting nothing less than my most wanted titles to be announced!
