That is some really fantastic cover-art there.

I think my head is going to explode with all the Evangelion related stuff that is coming out at the moment!
 
Yes great cover, my copy of "Death and Rebirth" , has the same picture ( minus all the writing) , and its probably one of best looking disc covers I have seen for a good while.
 
it's a great cover, but i have a feeling it's being released because manga saw ADV release the platinum so they decided to do the same. it's nice to see it in one neat package but unless there are a load of new extras i'll save my cash for platinum #2 and #3 instead.
 
If you already have them there wont be anything in this release to get them again (unless your a box whore :p )

OK enough birching :p I know theres some pics of the box itself somewhere (i heard about it at least) Any chance of posting thm?
 
For £17.99 on Play.com, I think it's pretty good value for money. Obviously a bit pointless for people who already own the movies, but for others (myself included) - this is an appealing release. The beautiful cover-art is the clincher.

I have a set of Evangelion postcards that I bought about 4 years ago from Japan (original releases from the series in the 90's) and the cover art is taken from them. I assume it's probably originally from an artbook? but there are so many Evangelion artbooks I wouldn't want to hazard a guess which one it might have come from :lol: (I believe it's also a CD cover, I don't have the CD I'm thinking of anymore, as honest to god it had 12 different versions of Fly Me to the Moon on it and I couldn't stomach it :( ).
