Following on from Anime Limited and MVM Entertainment's license announcements from this weekends MCM London Comic Con, it was soon Animatsu and Manga Entertainment UK's time to step up to the plate and reveal the anime goodness they will be unleashing on the United Kingdom in the near future.

Manga Entertainment UK surprised fans by granting a highly requested wish, confirming that they will be releasing SHAFT's Puella Magi Madoka Magica theatrical film trilogy later this year. With all new animation and vocal performances, the first two movies Beginnings and Eternal retell the events of the critically acclaimed 2011 television anime, before the third and final film, Rebellion, tells an all new continuation.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie #1: Beginnings and #2: Eternal will be released together as a double-pack in July as both Collector's Edition DVD/Blu-ray combi-packs, alongside standard edition DVDs for each film. Then on 28th September, the trilogy will be completed with a DVD and blu-ray release of Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie #3: Rebellion.

Manga Entertainment will be keeping the theatrical anime train rolling with Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F, which will be released shortly after FUNimation's North American release.

When Animatsu grabbed the bat and stood up to the plate, they delivered a home run by granting a more literal wish from anime fans. Later this year, fans will finally be given a chance to tour the coveted Academy City in J.C. Staff's A Certain Magical Index and A Certain Scientific Railgun, which will be released on DVD and blu-ray starting this summer as complete series collections.

This will be followed in August by Knights of Sidonia, which has been confirmed to have the same on-disc content as Sentai Filmworks' recent release in the United States. Alongside this well received series, Animatsu will also be releasing fellow Sentai Filmworks titles Black Bullet, Golden Time and Triage X. Madhouse's Parasyte: The Maxim is also scheduled to be released towards the end of the year, although details could not be confirmed at this time.

For people who prefer a bit of live-action now and then, Animatsu Entertainment also revealed that they will be releasing Dead Rising: Watchtower, a feature length adaptation of Capcom's video game series from Legendary Pictures, which was recently released exclusively on the Crackle streaming service in North America.

Are you looking forward to any of these upcoming titles?
