I have to say about it though; episode 5 (or was yumemi episode 6?) Yumeko - when you are so displeased with someone your animation quality reaches rock bottom, certainly made me shiver there.
I agree that ryota has a strange type of prescence in XX though, in the second game he starts to understand the thrill yumeko seeks in gambling, then, for reasons known only to studio Mappa, falls off the face of the earth until the last few episodes. He could have joined the yakuza and did something far more interesting for all the viewers know

S2 added Rei to not catch up to the manga as it is still ongoing and in the current arc.
I'm planning to read the manga hopefully in the next few weeks as manga volume 10 came out yesterday on Bookwalker and I got it add to me ever going backlog ha ha.
It did progress but in a way to keep it steady and not get ahead of the manga.
The only real resolution was Rei's life on the final gamble.
