A brand new episode is now available for this insane short anime series.
Anime has a lot of weird stuff, we’re not going to lie about that. But this year sees the appearance of a bizarre short anime series which has sparked confusion, WTF, and insanity that this might be the best anime I have seen this year.
That anime is known as Henkei Shoujo.
Known in English as Transforming Girls, the story follows a young woman who gets caught up with a number of girls who magically transform (in transformers style) to help her in various situations. This can be from catching her hat that was blown away by the wind, to a photo shoot. This series is weird, but awesome at the same time.
Not much is known about who is involved with the production aside from studio DreamLinkEntertainment with Kana Hanazawa, Sola Aoi, Mao Ichimichi, Enako and Sayumi Michishige lending their voices for each short.
The best part of all this is that the series is available to watch for free legally on YouTube thanks to the Japanese studio’s DLE Channel, and each month has seen a brand new episode. A 6th episode is in production it seems so we hope to see more appear!
