This is a topic for discussing all the greats... that you know suck some serious balls!!

Ima start...

Near Dark:
This is in every1s top 10 vampire movies you must watch... so i watched... and it sucked HARD. I cannot think of one single redemming quality about this movie. The acting is hideous, the actors even more so. The plot is ridiculous... yes, even for a vampire movie. It looks like a made for tv movie... yes even for an 80's movie.
It just doesnt feel like a vampire movie, i dont think the word vampire is even mentioned. Maybe it could have been better had i not went in expecting vampires and instead getting blood thirsty bikers.
In the end the 2 main characters GET CHANGED BACK INTO HUMANS WTF!?!

James Bond's films are the big films that sucks IMO. I've only watched them if I was totally bored and didn't have anything else to do.

In the light of Casino Royale, old Bond films are the new Hammer Horror. You watch them for the comedy value, nothing else.

I honestly can't think of any of the top of my head. I'm more likely to think that films other people thought sucked were great, I love tons of old and arty films which bore the **** of most people.

Man On Wire has 141 reviews, all positive!? It's a documentary about a tightrope walker - how good can it possibly be? I'll have to watch it now to find out.
It drags in places, more towards the end, but it is a flippin' good movie. The Beeb showed it a while back

I can't really think of any. Up probably qualifies, but I feel bad saying it sucks. It didn't. It just didn't do anything for me.

Ghost in the Shell - It bored me to tears. I got halfway through and gave up.

Terminator 3 sucks some serious balls

the T-X had no emotion, at least the T-1000 had some emotion and acted like a human
I'm pretty sure no-one liked T3.

I like T3, it's a comedy through and through but enjoyable. It's just no T1 or 2, obviously though.

I just hope whoever purchases the Terminator franchise now is intelligent and can do something with it. *cough*

Bloodsport & Kickboxer

van dame films of the 80's where the ultimate guilty pleasures and still are, but goddamn do i love these two films!

The 3rd film in a number of franchises are poor. Examples include

Terminator 3, X-Men 3, Spiderman 3, Batman 3 (Batman Forever)

I does not help when they water down the formula. The first Terminator film was an 18 certificate while Terminator 3 was a 12A.

X-Men 3 & Spiderman 3 were a mess due to too many plot lines.

No x-men 3 was bad because of one reason. Bret Ratner and his rapage of the dark phoenix saga.

But yeh the third movie is always bad. Some say there are no good sequels but i disagree.

Other bad third movies:

Godfather part 3
Superman 3
Scream 3
Alien 3
The Matrix Revolutions

Is this thread for movies that the consensus think are awesome but you personally don't, or films that should be good but just aren't?

If its the former, the more recent Wallace & Gromit film and short ticks the boxes. A Matter of Loaf and Death was better than The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, but that isn't saying much considering the film was beyond mediocre.

If its the latter, Twilight or something. Anything with Mega-Sharks and Giant-Octopuses as well.

EDIT: Just remembered, The Shining. I do not get the praise that film gets. As a psychological horror, its not very psychological, as a horror, its not very scary and the ability the shine is so unexplained its ridiculous. Great acting and cinematography, though.
