Full Metal Panic Fumoffu, Lagrange and No. 6...

Mangaranga

Za Warudo
I'm considering picking up said titles and I'm actually hoping to get feedback/opinions from people who have actually seen them.

I have watched eight episodes of FMP, but I'm not really sure if it's my sort of thing. My main problem is that I easily tend to tune out of anything Mecha related - unless it's balanced well with something like SOL or has interesting characters (e.g. Code Geass/Evanjellyons). I've heard Fumoffu has more of a comedy/SOL focus so it may be something I'd find more enjoyable, can anyone comment on this?

Lagrange I know literally nothing about. It seems to be one of those titles which I might surprisingly enjoy but I don't know. No. 6 is something I considered buying a while ago, again, knowing little to nothing about it. Another of those seemingly 'might be good' titles. What's the general opinion of both shows, and are they actually any good?

Fumoffu is based off of the side stories of the original novels, you don't really see the mech if ever it mostly focuses on the soldier in high school plot device, which is why it's really just a comedy series, one which i would definitely recommend, it is honestly one of the funniest anime i have seen, i liked the first season but i didnt like the switch between action mecha anime to high school comedy, fumoffu remedies that by just focusing on the comedic aspects.

Fumoffu is hilarious, can't go wrong.

No.6 is sweet, but I'm not convinced it's good, per se... it's a little all over the place at times as a result (from what I could tell) of being condensed quite aggressively into an 11 ep noitaminA run, but there was some cool action and it was mostly entertaining.

Thanks for the feedback so far guys. I'm pretty much sold on Fumoffu, and after reading through Ian's quick review of Lagrange I think I'll give it a go - especially since it doesn't appear to be something I would usually pick up. No. 6 I'm still on the fence about though... Looking around there seems to be a bit of a mixed opinion of it.

Not seen Lagrange, FMP Fumoffu is worth getting if you prefer comedy over mecha. As for No. 6, if I had seen it first I would not have purchased it (and this isn't something I have said very often). The story and action was good but I never liked the main characters.
