Symphogear
We did this last year, and i would post the results from last time but the topic seems to have disapeared.

anyway for a recap last time we did this Cowboy Bebop came out on top followed by bleach and Ghost in the shell SAC, but that was when they were at their prime. Will they do the same this year? Only time will tell

The Rules

* Post a list of either the top 5 or 10 anime you like best in the order you like them. The top must be your favorite with the bottom the least
* Your list should be 1 list covering any series/oavs/films you like. (gundams count seperatly but movies and OAV's join them Eg: "Gundam Wing" covers "Gundam Wing Endless Waltz" Aswell.
* Try to use the english title, if known.
* You can edit your post any time up to the deadline to change your top 10 but votes after the deadline will not be counted
* You have until the 31st of August to post.
* Results will be compiled and presented at beginning of September in data and table format.
*Remember this is a poll to see how well a series is doing to the UK community, do not start a fight or insult another person because of their choice in animes. Doing this will be considered a flame and reported to a moderator.
*Points- Points will be counted like this
1st choice = 10 points
2nd choice = 9 points
3rd choice = 8 points
4th choice = 7 points
5th choice = 6 points
6th choice = 5 points
7th choice = 4 points
8th choice = 3 points
9th choice = 2 points

if its directed directly to the series they yeah it can come under 1 banner

just like Gundam Wing and Gundam Seed can be classed as seperate series

Also as a note, i'm classing anyone who puts Tenchi Muyo as the Ryo ohki oav and not the other 2 series so if you did mean any of the others write down which one it is

same with mai-otome and mai-hime, they're different realities so they're classed as seperate series where as the otome oav would be counted under otome (if it came out)

suppose 1 more example would be needed, Fullmetal panic would be considered as 1 series with the 2nd raid, while fumuffu is classed as a spin off and seperate.

hope that's cleared some q's up, if theres any more your unsure about just mention it

I'm going to go ahead anyway, but my list is all the old anime though :/

1. Sukeban Deka
2. Golgo 13
3. Excel Saga
4. Dragon Half
5. Laputa
6. Howl's Mobile Shed
7. Catgirl Nuku Nuku
8. KO Century Beast Warriors
9. Venus Wars
10. Fist of the Northstar (movie, not series)

I am guessing the determining factor is whether the series form a continuous narrative. So the Seikai series would form up Crest & Banner.

This does get really tricky with Gundam though, where Mobile Suit Gundam + Zeta + Double Zeta + Chars Counterattack are almost a continuous narrative.

Well except Fumoffu isn't really a spin-off. Fumoffu covers the events that occur after the end of the colossus arc up to the point where Kaname goes out to the Tuatha De Danaan.

Will post my top 10 soon .... once I remember how to put it together.

Perhaps the criteria should be based on how many characters or elements are retained between the series. Something like Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz is just a continuation because has exactly the same focus as the series that spawned it. Zeta Gundam has new main characters, as does ZZ (not to mention the fact that in the wider view of things, ZZ has the least to do with the other early UC gundams). Char's Counterattack is a revival of the Amuro / Char rivalry, but considering that in total there are only 3 returning characters (4 if you count Astronage, 5 if you're really pressed and count Hathaway's prior appearance for an episode or two of Zeta Gundam). Gundam F91 and Victory Gundam are clearly seperate series in their own right with only the Universal Century and the Gundam head design linking them to any other Gundam series. Though I'd be very surprised to see F91 on anyone's favourite list :p
